  1. Worth remembering the good people of Dover voted pretty comprehensively for Brexit. A place that pretty much only exists due to it's proximity to Europe, where many people's jobs and livelihood will be linked to smooth trade across the channel. That's the kind of absolute meat that thought it was a good idea.
  2. No, they just went and got a sub-par lineup so there won't be the same number of people tramping through the park this time round.
  3. Canada pulled in over a billion in tax from Cannabis 2021-2022. Not to mention the revenue/profits and obviously jobs generated by this industry. It's that low hanging fruit just waiting to be picked, money sat there just out of arms reach.
  4. Nope, seems it's illegal there too and while some were allowing smoking, they found themselves in court over it. https://www.morningadvertiser.co.uk/Article/2007/08/03/Mayfair-club-still-allowing-smoking
  5. Sweeps might be reluctant to touch a gas appliance since they're not Gas Safe registered. You might have to get the appliance disconnected, pulled or moved out of the way before they'll come sweep the chimney, or gas flue whatever it's called.
  6. A small village in Leicestershire, looks very nice.
  7. Probably the guy the clears the bogs out and believes the Earth is flat.
  8. Why does it need to be built on green belt? It's there for a reason, once it's built on it's gone. Why should the countryside suffer to enable Urban Sprawl?
  9. Yea, someone's not done a proper risk assessment on that one, or used an extremely lax set of regulations to get it through.
  10. Weren't the council caught improperly operating one and forced to pay back loads of fines?
  11. You want cooking apples not bramley, that's your problem.
  12. Have you calculated what it'd cost you now vs the proposals? You might hang around for years and end up saving chump change.
  13. They're quite delicate, I had two in a row from AO that were broken in the box. Bits of broken magnet and whatnot ratting around inside. Assume they'd dropped an entire pallet of them at a warehouse, picked off the ones that didn't seem damaged. I did exactly that when I smashed one. Bought the exact same model to make the swap, wiring and stuff simple.
  14. Just replace the thing, the cheap brands are pretty much disposable items. Depending where it's been smashed, how hard the hit was you might have damaged the magnets inside.
  15. 90% of people would fail, easily. Especially if we're talking doing both the theory and practical side. Anyone that tells you they'd pass first time without issue is a liar or an idiot. The only people you could confidently say should pass are driving instructors and driving examiners.
  16. You won't get a response from them unless you serve the correct paperwork. General questions, queries or approaches are always ignored so don't even bother. They only ever respond to legal paperwork.
  17. They'd also have a devil of a job explaining how their car got there in the first place, considering Meadowhall has pretty decent CCTV coverage it wouldn't be too hard to demonstrate them driving in. Lets be honest, the car didn't arrive on a low loader it was absolutely driven there illegally.
  18. DVLA site will say if it's SORN or Not Taxed (and when the tax ran out) I seem to remember, .
  19. Often slap a big sticker on it don't they? "Clamped for no Tax" or something similar. They like to pop round Meadowhall and do a bunch there on occasion.
  20. Did you go to the closing down sales at the stores? They were picked to the bone. Anything left would have been proper rubbish.
  21. Very few are stupid enough to scam people in the same country they live in. 99% of time the police can't do a thing even if they wanted to.

    Chivalry

Anyone else chuckle at the irony that the guy was being send down for a violent assault in the first place. I bet he'll be serving a pretty lengthy spell after that one.
  23. Strong move to criticise someone's English when you've made a simple error in your first sentence.
