  1. It will have got lost in the endless arguments over Covid restrictions and weekly clapping performances.
  2. The closest we've come recently was the Covid pandemic, when it was actually not easy to get hold of everyday essentials. I didn't hear any stories of preppers being sat warm and happy. For alot of the American's that do it, they seem more concerned with amassing a personal arsenal than actually preparing for the end of days. It would seem their plan is have enough guns and ammo to worry about things like food later.
  3. Late night places are rarely any good, no-one is cooking decent food at 3am. Used to be a great place down Eccy Road called Elif's. Their shish-kebabs were wonderful.
  4. Flippin Nora, that sounds like a right sorry time. 3 days in Sheffield, wined and dined at the nearest Kebab shop. What a life.
  5. I'd be surprised if you could taste kebab from the chip oil. Have you had a good kebab recently??? Most are shocking, really poor quality meat, little flavouring. There's nothing there to taste in the first place. Went back to a favourite old haunt a little while ago, their Kebab's used to be really good. Total opposite now, place changed hands and the food is terrible.
  6. Greater powers really are required, if your establishment gets zero stars it should be shut down immediately.
  7. Well like I said, it's going to be interesting to see what happens. I wonder how many will bother to stay around in the Tory party anyway, if they get destroyed in the election as the polls suggest then what's the point? The party will be on a 10+ year rebuild path, it's a rubbish job for the party leader to do and it's not like they'll still be in charge when the time comes for them to properly challenge for Government again. I can see many senior Tories planning their move to a well paid private sector job.
  8. Wait and see I say. I'll be keeping an eye out for anyone jumping across, I think there'll be a good number.
  9. The far more interesting question about those not standing (or who lose their seat), is how many will move over to the Reform party? Truss seems to be there already, Kemi Badenoch right behind.
  10. There isn't that much fat coming off the doner meat, certainly no-where near enough to warrant collecting it and putting it in with the chips. Taste is probably from some places changing the oil less regularly, probably due to the costs. The price of oil has skyrocketed ever since the Russians started their war. Ukraine was a huge producer of sunflower oil, so global supply has really taken a hit, pushing prices way up.
  11. I was once told "We're having fish and chips for tea" so I excitedly hurried home after work. Only to be presented with a plate of stuff from the freezer isle. I damn near left her.
  12. George-a-Green fisheries in Wakefield, considered among the best in Yorkshire. Cooked in proper beef dripping, lots of people rave about the place.
  13. It wasn't a great start when the Wakefield MP ended up in Prison not long after getting elected. By all accounts he was a total di**head anyway, and did absolutely nothing for his constituents.
  14. Looks like things have calmed down, the Iranians don't seem to be itching to strike back. Not that it's solved the crisis in Gaza, but at least it's stopped it from spreading further.
  15. Considering Iran has been supplying Russia with arms for their fight in Ukraine, there isn't much available to send the other way. He could send a load of fighter/bomber jets , but with Israel's formidable air defences that's not going to end well. Drone and long range missiles are the order of the day, but all the effort is going to blowing up Eastern Ukraine at the moment.
  16. Their occupation of Palestinian land is illegal, they know it. They won't stop, they'll use the continued attacks as a reason to continue. You get the feeling it suits the Israelis well, they can continue to do what they want so long as the Palestinians continue to give them an excuse to ignore all laws.
  17. Is it the same one that's conducted countless attacks on civilians over the decades? The same one responsible for the massacre at the Munich Olympics? You can't overlook the crimes of either side, both are as bad as each other.
  18. It's not like the exact same sentiment hasn't come from the Palestinian side for decades though, they both hate each others guts.
  19. Seems to be isolated to Iran.
  20. They do make alot of their own though. Stopping arms supply won't immediately stop what they're doing. They will probably just end up have larger stockpiles, meaning they won't need additional support from allies in the future.
  21. Aye took me a sec, but the property section just got moved slightly. It's a good section, helps alot of people with the info it contains.
  22. Who would you leave it to though? The communist party was technically still ruling the place, they hobbled along for a couple of years after the Soviets left. Then the Taliban/Mujahideen took control after a couple of civil wars.
  23. He also shouted "I can't breath" fairly loudly, along with a load of other stuff. Restrained at the wrists with a hand on each shoulder, but no-one pressing on his chest. Head was free to move around too, so it's not like they pressed his face into the mattress or anything. From the footage, he looks like he had a heart attack rather than suffocated?
  24. Unfortunately "I can't breath" is one of the first things out of alot of criminals mouths when a copper is trying to detain them. Usually said in the hope they'd back off and give an opportunity to escape.
