  1. Hi, my mum lives on Lichford and i was just walking up the genal were it happened i was stood next to the 'tanks' and it exploded god knows how i didn't get hurt, the tank just exploded and then everything was on fire i ran back out of the genal and up Lichford Road, was so scary I am 21 years old and have a 10 week old son and so very grateful that i am fine! Has made me take life a lot more seriously now!
  2. Hello I am just wanting to know if anyone knows anyone or a salon that does bonded hair extentions, not the strips but the little indiviual ones I think there called micro hair extentions :/ sorry lol! I have quite thick wavy hair so would take quite a bit of time and lots of extentions to do it?
  3. Thank you so much ---------- Post added 13-02-2013 at 18:48 ---------- Thank you adds1979
  4. Hi Just wondering if anyone knows if Gleadless Road is bad with the snow, I am trying to get home with my 2 week old baby but I have been told that no cars can get up or down Gleadless Road and Eastbank Road? Please help and reply Thanks
  5. Yeah, I understand that Muddywolf, just a shame that people don't take the time to learn about a person before judging them :/.
  6. I am not wanting to argue with anyone regarding this I am wanting a little rant so people know that not everyone is the same on benefit's and if anyone has any advice back then please comment.
  7. Hello... Like the title say's I am not wanting to argue with anyone but it seems on every thread I go on with people wanting advice on benefits or anything like that there is always people on there with negative comments about how people on benefits are taking all the tax payer's money etc. Now don't get me wrong I know there is some wasters out there that don't want to go out and work and just basically use every excuse in the world not to work but that doesn't mean everyone's the same, some people find themselves in sticky situations that cannot be helped! For example my Grandparent's have worked all their lives and now they are in their late 50's my Nan has had a serious heart condition which led to her having a triple heart by-pass which means she can not ever work now and my Granddad lost his job due to him needing to have time off work for cancer treatment, now they are on benefits does that make my Grandparents taking off tax people when they have paid just as much as the next person into the system? Sorry to have a rant but I do not like when people just assume they know someone's situation because they are on benefit's not all people are the same so without knowing the person don't try and be little them just because you are lucky enough to have good health and a job.
  8. I live at the other end of Lichford I don't get to hear it
  9. Yeah need to have the full 39 weeks honey, It's okay 135.00 a week so I know I shouldn't complain but still my friend who is 18 and having a baby she got her JSA MA income support the grant and will be getting another benefit forgot what it was so she will be coming out with around 200 a week she say's she has never worked and thats why she gets it Baby things are so expensive lol x
  10. Hehehe, Aww bless bet you can't wait to give birth lol, Yeah I claim MA now up until 3/8/13 then I can go on income support but hopefully I will be working by then not wanting to claim for a long time just while I am in this situation. I am glad that I am getting the highest amount of MA but like the lady says at the job centre that's basically my money what I've paid into system, it's just all confusing with the benefits, good thing I have a supportive family behind me to help me x
  11. They say maternity allowance isnt a benefit :\ that's why I am so stuck :'( I want to cry especially with all the hormornes and the stress :'( x
  12. That's ridiculous I think they have the system all wrong! People like yourself should be qualified for everything due to getting off your backside and wanting to work! So how do they expect you to get everything for your baby? I really really want a job so bad but I doubt anyone will take me on with only 10 weeks left to go :'( ... This will be my first baby, I tried getting JSA but with a lot of hassle and mix up they said that I would be going onto maternity allowance so no point in signing on, tried getting income support but due to me getting the highest rate of maternity allowance I don't qualify for it! I have never been on benefit's and neither has my family so we are in a situation were I don't know what to claim where to claim it, what I a doing right or wrong, and when I try getting advice of job seekers or benefit line I just get fed **** and get told 23 different things. x
  13. Hello, I am just wanting to have a bit of a rant really so I'll apologize in advance.. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant unemployed and applied for maternity allowance to help me get things for my baby I also tried applying for the sure start grant to get his cot sterizler etc after receiving a letter saying I am qualified for maternity allowance and I will get the full amount due to me working in the last 2 years and paying a lot of tax and insurance, I rang to get the sure start grant which they set me a appointment to go to my local job centre and apply through there as I need a qualifying benefit to get it.. at the job centre I was told that I am not eligible for any benefits as I am getting the full amount of maternity allowance (which if nothing to do with benefits) so now I cannot get income support or the sure start grant :S even the lady at the job centre said I was being penalised for basically working up until the beginning of this year and with me paying all the tax and insurance I am just getting that back with the maternity allowance! Has anyone else had this problem? Why can I not get what the other soon to be moms are getting? I am very angry and upset that I have been in this situation due to me working and now I am in a sticky situation I am not getting no help, I know I am stupid for quitting my job but at the time I was wanting a change in career and felt that I could do it but it didn't go to plan. So because I am on no benefits what so ever does this mean I cannot apply for housing benefits? Some one please help
