  1. I am aware that horses do unfortunately poach the fields, but believe with the right maintenance and rotation this could be kept to a bare minimum. The management approach that would be taken would be to split grazing to reasonable sized paddocks. Rotation of horses would be frequent, so that the grass doesn't sour, and to leave other paddocks to rest and regrow. Come the wet winter months, horses would be contained to a small paddock with a round bale. When conditions improve (Spring time), when the ground is still moist, the land would be chained, re-seeded with an appropriate mix of seed and then rolled. I understand soil can also be sent off to companies to check the acidity levels and a regulator can applied if needed.
  2. Hi all, My partner and I are currently in search for some grazing land/ stables for our 2 lovely geldings. We are based in the S25 area, but not afraid to travel if you are a little further away. We would prefer to be on our own, however a small livery yard would be considered as have been happy on livery before. This could be also be a good investment for a farmer looking to make a little bit of money on some of their land. We have a reasonable land management knowledge, with previous experience of managing paddocks, and have access to electric fencing to keep the horses separate from other livestock. We are a quiet and respectful young couple who just want to enjoy their horses. If you are the owner, or know of anybody that might be able to help, please reply or alternatively pm me. Thank you for reading and hope that you might be able to help,
  3. Came out yesturday. Fixed very quickly (prob easy if you know how). Would reccommend this company to come out.
  4. Hi, I am new on here so I do appologise if this is in the wrong place. We are currently looking for full (semi-full) livery for our mare. We live not too far from J31 of M1 near todwick so will be looking for somewhere within about a 20minute drive in any direction. We are requiring somewhere that will be able to do full livery monday to friday, however weekends are flexible for DIY/ Part or even Full. Turnout grazing prefered in individual paddock or in a small herd. If anybody knows of anywhere or if you have anything yourself, please reply to this post or PM me. I thank you for your time in reading this post and hopefully we will be able to find somewhere that can accomidate these needs. Cheers, Moonlight86
