one for the boffins , a mate of mine at work has a problem connecting to the internet due to a "remote firewall" problem ... there is a msg at the top he says which reads.. "windows confirmed that google.com is curently online but isn't respondin to connection attempts at this time."

i dunno what his O/S is but he says he has an out of date version of sophos (it wont let him delete it)

wev'e exhausted all the tricks i know ... what next ?

the area ur on about is only a timed bus lane ... morning & afternoon peak hours ... other times inc all day sat & sun cars can use it quite legally ... but alas as has been stated many ignore it even in the stated period .... now ya know why buses get late!

students goin to uni/college - buses can often have a full standing load

9am is is roughly the time most (not all) are in work / school / college ... unfortunately if an OAP has an early app't at hospital/docs etc they fall in the same category as anyone else on a weekday & have to pay

at all times remember , the driver does NOT make up the rules regarding time , nor do the companys for that matter !

as has been stated other areas its 0930 hrs so think urselves lucky in S Yorks

Lets face it when you get to pensionable age, bus fare's should be free at any time.

and what about "joe public" that cant get to work ontime cos all the buses are fulla freebie penioners ?

if you issue a "twerlie" before 9am on a weekday you have to cancel it , fill in paperwork & hand both parts in as a "ticket in error" to prove that ticket was not used before the prescribed time ... with all the severe disciplines going on , specially at first , why would/should a driver issue a senior citizen before 9am & face a "serious misconduct " charge ... OAP's KNOW THE RULES & TIMES i will never put my job in jeopardy for no one ... whatever concession is involved be that time wise or age wise !!

lol wait until you get these migrant folk from slovakia .... it wont only be animal bobbar that gets deposited around your streets !!!

how can i make them stop ignoring these restrictions ? you tell me!!

take a pic on ur mobile / jot down numberplates & locations of vehicles & report them ... might make someone sit up & do something if enough folk did it

all the ignorant gits too that park in bus layby's ... it then takes extra time for elderly & infirm folk to board or alight

just take a look at some of the causes instead of blaming drivers/companys/PTE all the time

it will enlighten you quite a bit

bloody taxi driving scum are some of the worst for parking in bus stops .... & they will not move even if you have a person in a wheelchair to board or alight i'm sure plaintalker could back me/us up on this point

another thing moaning minnies ... you can all do this , sit near the front look out of the window & take note of all the pig ignorant car drivers that ignore clearly marked bus lanes (timed or permenant) / bus gates / no right turns etc & other restrictions all this adds to delays !

just watch & take note , times are assessed assuming these restrictions are adhered to ... police drive past & do nothing many many times .. its about time the cameras on buses had a "feed" to some sort of enforcement beureau & each & everyone fined EVERY time they ignore a restriction !!

like has been mentioned .....go look for urself one day ..... penistone rd & that hellhole of a dump they call woodseats .... whoever designed that "traffic flow system" ought to have to negotiate it every day ... 1 bus pulls up ... cars go round it .... then nobody will let you out ... so all the time the next bus is catching you .... same again & the 3rd bus catches up etc & so on .... use a bitta common ... its hardly rocket science

just go & take a look at woodseats if ya dont believe it ... from low edges you get 8 mins to woodseats library on a 53 ..... you can only just do that at 5 in a morning ... NO CHANNY in daytime ... peak hours HAAAAA try it urself ... be quicker walkin it

lol id like to correct you there ... they do !! EG.. from town to B&Q on a 77 / 78 you get 10 mins , then 10 mins to saltbox lane .... ... afternoon peak hrs it is increased to 15 mins each point... 53 has increased running time to B&Q too(2 mins i think) & then 7 mins to the gate instead of 5 then 13 instead of 12 to monteney

its usually taken off stack time at one or both ends !!
