  1. We got married in the town hall at 3pm on a Saturday in February. I got a black cab with my 2 bridesmaids. My husband to be was staying in Sheffield so he sent a black cab to our house. As we drove into town there was a football match on and people stopped to give thumbs up and to let us through, it was fun and only cost about £10 - there was plenty of room for my dress too!
  2. Hello We always used doggies in wonderland based in s6 for our home boarding. There would be other dogs though but Chris may be able to give you details on someone he knows who could help. He has his own website / fbk page.
  3. City taxis have a taxi that allows dogs but we had to book in advance, it was usual price though. I'm sure if you called them they'd give you a price and let you know if it's available the dates you require
  4. I had a 2004 Yaris 1 litre from the ' blue' range bought from new and loved it. Sold it last year as we were moving abroad but would have kept it otherwise. It'd done 180k miles and in the 10years apart from annual service replaced the exhaust and radiator!
  5. Bishops coffee house bistro in s8 has Caribbean night on a Friday and gets good reviews It may only be dine in though?
  6. I have taken students several times and nothing prepares you for it. Each time something new has been discovered or the guide tells you something new. There are two sites, the first site is the purpose built barracks which were initially used. Here there's the famous gate and gas chambers. The other site has the railway track and the destroyed chambers. Everybody has to be taken by a guide and its easy to book these in Kraków. It's about an hours drive from the city. The guides are rigourously assessed for their knowledge, I believe they are inspected/ observed every year. They really know their stuff. Sometimes there are guest guides who were survivors but this is increasingly rare. Each time we have been it has snowed.
  7. Morrisons at meadow head. It's about £15 for king sized duvet
  8. Mick at ultra sharp did mine. He came to our house and did 5 global knives for about £20 I think - it may have been less. Very good service
  9. Have you asked the school? Most secondary schools have a recommended taxi company with crb checked drivers for students who have provision off site, children who are looked after and for other reasons. This may be true of primary schools too.
  10. We used specialised movers when we moved our stuff into storage as they will also ship it internationally if we want it at a later date. Really pleased with their customer service and the move went very smoothly. I'd recommend them. They are based in attercliffe, you can just call in and they'll go through the services they offer. Good luck with the move!
  11. Well done Chris! You should include in your figures an airport run. Highly recommend this company Kathryn
  12. Pugneys country park j40 off the m1 ( I think) is lovely. Nice walk around the lake, cafe and warm water hose pipe to clean dogs after about 2 miles with a flat track and dogs can swim in lake Walk around langsett is good about 5 miles through woodland, moors and streams, park at langsett barn car park Scout dyke reservoir near penistone is a flat track about 1 mile round We've done these and not seen sheep!
  13. Hi Sorry to hear you're still having issues I sent you a PM with several contacts of people I've used while working on my house - did you contact any of them?
  14. Hi We have fed our dog raw for a year and still learning! Some things I buy and he won't touch for example I bought squirrel and chicken feet from real pet grub at the weekend and even though he's hungry he still hides like he's scared of them! He loves the tripe packs too but they really stink! He also won't eat pigs trotters or any dried ' treats' However, he loves liver, kidney, chicken carcass, ribs, pork belly, mince, cottage cheese, cheese, heart, eggs and blended raw veg. What I've learnt is not to buy too much until they've tried it - I've given so much away! I do worry that his diet isn't varied enough but I try my best. The vet is happy with him, he's a steady weight and is in good health. Personally I'd try a bit of mince or mackerel with maybe egg and veg then a little bit of liver or chicken carcass. Hope that helps Kathryn
  15. There's a sewing machine shop on chesterfield rd, woodseats. I'm not sure if they sell refurbished/second hand machines though.
