Well said cuttsie, who wants to be "so called normal" if thats the garbage you spout, I for one would be screwed if i had to use expensive supermarkets for fresh meat etc, with 3 hungry nosed teens to feed, id be working my ass of just to pay the supermarket bill. Forget the rest The markets the best

Wow i fell in here by accident, and im just amazed with everyones memories for names and times etc,,I was at Pye Bank N/I about 1974 onwards, my sister Claudia was 2 yrs above, We lived on Pye Band Road at the time with my dad George Bernard, Until we moved on to the Flower Estate, and later my own son Daniel Attended Pye bank in 1995 onwards

Im in agreement with the first post, Leave the Market where it is, sheaf should never had gone either, yeah its a bit run down nowadays but some of us still love our market shopping, been shopping there since i was a kid, and will continue to do so while ever its standing, a bit of TLC and it could once again be the place where people travelled to shop

I think i remember you mick, my name is andrea i was also there at the same time as maria nashier, shaun wheatley, dawn peaker, etc, i started in unit 2, then up to number nine, and finally a bedsit on first floor in the main house that was a new twist, and spooky as hell, i used to hang out with donna moore( usually on the school roof) cos we thought we were rebels lol she was in with her brother andrew/radio edge, hope everyones well x
