Westfield School opening at 10.30 so far

The inspection was 9-10 December. According to my brother who's son goes there, they were told they needed improvement in a lot of areas. But he also said there's nothing really wrong with the school and they didn't "fail" as some are suggesting. Apparently, someone from the LEA was in to look at any hint of sustained improvement (in 6 weeks?!). Heard its better now then when I left 8 and a half years ago.

The Challoner and Pedley comments are from visiting my sisters former house on Waterfield Mews.

Okay, I think this may have been misinterpreted I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the council side because I don't think it's a particularly rough estate, compared to the others in Sheffield. But outsiders think it is and its giving the whole of Halfway a bad name. I don't think its fair to call either side "rough". I was asking if anyone else has the issue where outsiders think the whole estate is a s***hole because they think the council estate is one.

I live on the Halfway estate in SE Sheffield. There are 2 sides to Halfway; a council estate and a private estate. I live on the private estate and its very nice and peaceful but the council estate and up where the shops are have given Halfway a particularly bad name with gun crime and anti-social behaviour and whatnot. Anybody else suffer with this issue on their estate?

Just been on the FSA website and Piccolino, the posh place at Millennium Square in town only got 1 out of 5?! You can see a little into the kitchen through the windows of "the terrace" and its always looked a little run down but you'd think such an establishment would be able to keep up good standards! Same with Flaming Dragon scoring a 2 out of 5 but that doesn't seem to be open anymore

Hi Laura, its Luke. Mr Thomas (History teacher) retired a few years ago and Mrs Snell left for reasons unknown. The headteacher is very good wouldn't you agree?

Broomhall Mini Market has a terrible food hygiene rating. It isn't worth any support or sympathy imo

It's a rough area, particularly around the shops and the area around Challoner and Pedley. I don't feel safe waking around the area where the flats are, especially when it is getting dark.
