Can I ask how many people have heard or used the term "Cheating Arabs" in Sheffield, I don't in any way mean to cause offence by this I am not saying Arabs are cheats, its just an old saying and I just wondered if anyone else heard it growing up and if you knew where it came from is there an old link (however tenuous) between Arabs and cheating maybe in business or something. So have you heard/used it Where is it from What does it mean then and now Is it a Sheffield/term thing Thanks

We are AFC George we play out of Woodhouse, but our home ground is at Catcliffe (good pitch, changing room and showers) we have previoulsy won the Imperial Sunday League premier Division twice and are now in the Blades Superdraw league. Due to some players working and some moving upto Over 35's football we require some new good players. Woodhouse Junction FC needs players for this season. We have won the Imperial Prem league 2 out of last 3 seasons and have moved to the Blades Superdraw for a new challenge this season. We play at Catcliffe, near the JTF and train at Woodhouse in the summer. We have lost a few good players due to injuries and need to replace them with quality players. I haven't played for years (I'm 40) but played for Yorkshire at 15 so know how to play to a reasonable level or at leat I did. Am looking to get back into it for fitness - any clubs out there looking for male players. Cheers Matt
