  3. Hi my surname was Seymour, we were in the same class I think.I lived on Northlands road at the top of Southey Hill going towards the Magnet Pub and shops if I remember correctly John live on the same side as the Church at the top of the road in the direction of Parson Cross. o Kathrine
  4. Hi Storme thanks for getting in touch, I still live in Sheffield and have been married for 43 yrs, have 2 sons and a daughter 4 grandsons and 1 great grandson. Been retired for 6 yrs but still teach dancing a few hours a week. Only in touch with one other person from school though. We enjoy our grandchildren and going on holiday mainly to Greece Cyprus or Lanzarote. Love to hear about your family and activities Regards Kathrine
  5. Hi Sandra can't bring you to mind but that maybe an age thing ! It's a small world we live on the Westfield estate between Morrisons and Crystal Peaks. Been married for 44 yrs with 2 sons a daughter 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild all boys and yes they keep us on our toes!(love it) Iam going to do my utmost to find the pic of netball team and put names to faces. Do you remember Helga Barlow or Elaine Wilkinson Peter Garside or John Fox ? will be in touch if I get more info Kathrine

I was at Southey School left in 1963 I remember being in Mr Gowers class with Anne Bloomer Kathleen Hutton John Chalfin spring to mind, I remember Miss Paramore Mr Senior Miss Waite and Mr Kay was the head. I was in the netball team and have a photo with Miss Paramore in also have vivid memories of Miss revel (the devil ) was the name we gave her .Back-combed hair was the fashion and if you dare go to school with it she would drag you off and brush it out I didn't dare but one girl think she lived in the childrens home was braver than most and was always trying Miss revels patience. Anyone remember the same things my name was Kathrine Seymour (now Clarke ) Would love to hear where you all are now?
  7. Disabled swimming group on Thursday evenings at Westfield School Baths 7-30 to 8-30 £2-50. All disabilities catered for even swimming tuition if required.
  8. Don't remember indian man but can recall the betterwear man he had a suitecase and he often had sample tins of polish for lino and red stuff to put on red tiles you had in the porch and kitchen. Now it,s booklets or online times move on!
  9. Anyone out there have any pictures of brightside school during the 1920/30 my mum went there and she is sufering from dimenture and it would make her day she was telling me about school days but we don't have a photo to relate to hope someone can help ! thanks in anticipation
  10. we are in the s20 area of sheffield and our black bins were emptied last week our road is a cul de sac and due to some idiot parking bins at the far end could not be reached so phoned veolia and they came back and with great difficulty emptied the bins so dont give up get dialing and good luck !!!!!!

John Banners Shop was on Attercliffe common i worked there in the sixties on Ladies underwear and also on shoes for a while they even had a fashion show each year with profesional models but gave some of the shop girls a go too i was chosen and wore a jacket with a zip up fastening didnt fall off the runway but guess what the zip stuck as i was supossed to show the fancy pattern inside !!!!! didnt want to be a model anyway anyone else out there remember those shows ?
  12. Wonder if you remember my dad who worked at the dairy for many years Thomas Seymour he worked as a milkman for over 30 years started with a horse and cart. He retired with ill health many years ago and is no longer with us now he delivered in the shiregreen area and had a window cleaning round in the afternoons .

  14. Know body should be knocking on doors at night for collections they should spare a thought for the elderly and infirm by the time they get to the door they have gone and it scares older people wondering who is banging on thier door at all
