Hello everyone, so far for my short film the lead role Nick has been locked in but am in need of three more actors as auditions so far have been unsuccessful. For those of you unaware the film itself is about a brother and sister who after years of losing touch, finding the sister is still angry at him the brother must enter his sisters world of music, using it to talk to her and try and mend their damaged past. The roles remaining to be filled are... Jen - sister to protagonist, (can be between 18 and 24) thin build. A guitarist who makes her way in the world playing music at local venues and busking. Rachael - manager of he music venue Sixth Lake (26-30), she takes care of Jen and yet as a kind of mothering figure wishes to help resolve Jen and Nick's conflict. Jamie- office joker and only friend of Nick's. (18-25) Jamie is scruffy yet has the potential for more. He is a womaniser and a prankster but with a warm heart. Hello everyone, UPDATE ON THE FILM, The role of Nick is now successfully cast. We also have a potential Jen auditioning late this week. At current rate will be approximately a month before filming starts depending how rehearsals go. There will be a meeting with some of cast and crew next weekend, either late saturday or on sunday. THose interested in seeing how they can help out when filming starts, or those still wanting to audition are welcome. Just let me know. Regards Liam :-)

Hi Blue, amd not sure, have a few possible locations but smaller productions like this require already having actors before locations can be booked. For the main locations there are plenty of unused office blocks in the city we will try. Also for the venue scenes I will try a hiring a club for a day. But when I feel actors are ready. Local drama groups are good and I also intend to pursue some suggestions Jacko mentioned at the meeting last time. Although if you know any specifically please feel free to pass on a email or contact number and I will consult with them. Thank you for your reply

Hi everyone, thank you everyone who has responded to my post on here and private messaged me, just confirming with everyone the meeting is on Saturday at 1pm at the showroom cinema, meeting in cafe area. Will be nice meeting you all, and like a few of you have asked, yes you are most welcome to bring friends or anyone you know who is interested, On Sat will greet you all, and audition people interested in the roles. And discuss what people who want to help behind the scenes can do. So will be a really fun day. Anyone interested in joing me afterwards going to tramlines are more than welcome to join me too :-) For those of you with little experience don't be nervous. Just enjoy this and try your best. We're all coming together to make this film as good as possible. If i believe you can do that even with little experience those of us their with experience will do our best to help. I've been making films since 2002 and have learnt quite a bit in helping people get the best performance they can do. And as we have time to work on this it will allow us to do that. Hello mate, have just read your post, prop wise I would be interested in talking with you about this one, as while some of my future projects could definately use a man of your talents I am unsure what would be the best way to use your talents for this. The office the main character works out, failing getting a actual office to film in like the kind not currently in use in city center, but failing that will need to creat a office like set up from a empty room. Also the guitars while i have a few available for me to use at my disposal prop wise this film isn't too prop heavy. Still I will show you the script and we can discuss any ways in which you may be able to help as would be nice to have your skills on board. I was very impressed looking through your portfolio. It was very enjoyable. Big thank you regarding the google docs/drive advice thank you. As my main pc is currently not working will have to wait until that is back up and running before I can do that but it sounds a fantastic idea. There is now draft 13 of the script now available that helps make the dialogue more colloquial and fixes some of the smaller errors. Anyone I sent draft 12 to please feel free to message me and I'll get you a copy asap.

But more help the merrier right now. What kind of roles do you enjoy doing so far from film studies you've been doing? Or what kind of roles would you be interested in trying. If you have a email adress I can email you script to give you chance to revise so you can get some practise in. And will audition you in a couple of weeks. I am currently thinking 21st of July. Sometime in afternoon. Regardless help behind the scene is always welcome if not. Thank you for your interest in helping :-)

H ladyB, yes that sounds like you definately have skills that would be welcome. With your art skills could help me work on visual aestetic and set design. And anything you can bring to this is welcome. Also got another short that will be very in need of someone with art skills. Do you have skill drawing or is it like designing things that your course does out of intest please? Both skills are of a lot of use to me. Am filming a 2 minute short in about two weeks, about two people who fall in love leaving notes for each other on a park bench but never speaking. But if i had someone who could draw well it would be better than notes if a picture was left. So scetching pictures to use for film would be nice touch.

Hi everyone, I am in the process of making a short film over the summer and was wondering if anyone would care to help please. Actors, crew, any help you can contribute is more than welcome. The idea is a brother and sister who have been seperated after some time bump into one another. While the sister does not wish to talk to him initially the protagonist Nick discovers she plays music at a local venue. Upon this discovery he tries speaking to her through songs instead by entering her world of music. The script has been written and is going through a few updates to smooth it out a little so filming will not be until august at the minute but help planning and rehearsing with actors will be needed in time between. This will be unpaid, sorry for those of you that require pay I just can't afford it at the moment. This is a film I am making because I am passionate about film making and since university I still wish to continue it. I am not nessesarily looking for proffessional help with this although it is more than welcome I welcome anyone who is interested and passionate. At current the film will be shot with 2 cannon 550d cameras and using a marantz. Actor wise there are four main roles, Two male, two female, aged between mid to late twenties. For me it's Three Kingdoms, really enjoy it's style of progressiong through a persons life and joy of making friends and tragedy of losing them in war. Is really sad how tragic the film is. While I have heard a lot of praise for Red Cliff which is I admit a good film, three kingdoms journey of Let the right one in, Battle Royal, Death Note 1 and 2, maybe not the technical masterpiece but a very inreaguing story and plot twists and turns I feel unparalleled by most films. Also I respect REC having seen it recently is a fantastic film, although I am not much of a horror fan.
