Hi guys i need some help, the lawn in my back garden has become patchy, mossy and weedy. I dont want the expense of digging it all up then relaying. Is it ok to cover the existing lawn with a good level of top soil then relay new turf on top of this? Would there be any problems in doing this? Thanks for your help

I contacted HMRC last week because I thought I was paying too much tax. I went through some details with an agent on the phone. He asked me various questions about my previous employers, benefits claims etc. He then told me I was due a tax refund. However he would not tell me on the phone the amount of the refund. Does anyone have any ideas why? I rang the following day and spoke to some one else who said my tax calculation has been completed, I am owed a refund and should receive the calculation in the post within 3 weeks. Does anyone know why they can't tell you on the phine the amount of refund you are due? Makes no sense at all. Also how long will it take for this calculation to arrive?

I was wondering if anyone on here could help me. I have a criminal record for drugs offences and driving offences. I was released from prison 18 months ago and I am finding it impossible to find paid or voluntary employment. I am currently on the work programme as part of my claim for jobseekers allowance unfortunately up to now they have been unable to help me secure employment. does anyone in here have any ideas on what I could to do to gain employment? I have learnt from my mistakes, consider myself to be rehabilitated and am just looking for an employer to give me a second chance. my previous experience is in call centre stuff, customer service, retentions, sales etc. Any advice would be gratefully received

Thanks, yes i have checked and am registered with all the agencies but nothing has ever materialized. I have applied for over 300 jobs and not received a single reply.

I am 30 years old and have over 7 years experience working in various call centres doing a variety of roles inbound sales, customer relations, customer service, credit services etc. I have just finished serving a prison sentence for drugs offences and am now finding it impossible to secure a job not necessarily because of my criminal record but because of the gap on my CV where i have been in prison. Does anyone know of any organisations that are friendly towards people in my circumstances. Or maybe you have been through this experience? Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

I have received a tax calculation today showing that i am owed some money from HMRC. The letter says they will send out a cheque for the amount due, does anyone know how long this takes to receive? Has anyone had any experience? Cheers
