  1. mjhal will be in contract, but I'd agree with walkerx. it's a very suspicious upload speed given the different packages Talktalk have available.
  2. If you PM me your landline numberand postcode, I might be able to see your max attainables (your maximum fibre speeds) on our BT portal. I'll certainly have a look for you.
  3. Give the network a call and ask them to unlock it.
  4. Well this is the cpr blocker and this is truecall. Time to invest (or unplug your phone as I did).
  5. I've heard nothing but good things about 'truecall' They're not cheap, but they seem to work.
  6. I found this on Amazon but I think you can do better for that money.
  7. I'm a representative of a small local business (and local employer) - not a corporation. We're a good company who do our best to get things done. I'm proud of my work and if doing my job results in comments such as this, then I guess that's the price I pay. I'm spreading the word about an amazing product that loads of people would love to have if they only knew it was available.
  8. It's a weird thing for them to lose?? I'm a big fan of opera. I think they support private browsing.
  9. If you have no joy when you've looked into everything, you could consider our private fibre optic broadband service :-)
  10. It'll be Blu-Ray. A lot of people around the world still have relatively poor internet speeds so 100% digital distribution wouldn't be viable.
  11. Forgive me, I misread before. As it seems you're on PN fibre, there is no MAC process to transfer from that to our service. this could mean that you would have a longer downtime of a few days to a week. We have approached OpenReach in the past about implementing a migration process, but unfortunately they couldn't do this.
  12. You'll be able to request a MAC which will result in minimal downtime. We have a 24Mbps fibre product with no traffic management or peak times etc. for £18.50 per month with free install. Currently if you sign up, you'll get 3 credits of £9.25 on your first 3 bills to make it half price! The local/personal touch is nice too i think
  13. This is also a great opportunity to put a larger HDD in your box - 1TB couldn't hurt
  14. Remember that our website measure our old profile (8b) speeds to avoid overestimates. On our new profiles, that result would normally yield 70Mbps - or even more on some cabinets!! For example, my postcode reads 40/10 on the website, but I sync at 83Mbps
  15. Could be a hard drive issue. I'd do a full reset. That seems to sort a lot of problems with sky recordings - but you'll lose everything you've stored I think.
  16. Are you sure? could you show me a screenshot as you'd have to be a considerable distance from the cab to score 10Mbps.
  17. I've looked into your questions, and it seems we're planning a secure service to allow our customers access to billing and other data in relation to their account. I believe this will be implemented in conjunction with a new data centre that we're currently preparing to open. I'd expect this facility to be available by the summer. If you have any more specific questions, you can feel free to give me a call on 0800 206 2333
  18. There's this to consider though: Greedy Sky admits: We crippled broadband with TOO MANY users
  19. Hello! You can usually keep the same phone number no matter who you're with. it's just a different process for different customers. Best thing is to give us a call and we'll have a look for you!
  20. We already have a number of customers using the 2050n. Usually business customers - but it seems to work quite well for them!
  21. Free install and £18.50 a month for unlimited usage with the first 3 months half price is an absolute bargain for what you get Unfortunately Leah, we don't determine where the cabinets are fitted, but there's always a chance it could reach you in the future.
  22. Hi Karl, Because we provide our service over private fibre, we may be able to give you a much faster speed than sky/be/BT etc. If you give us a call, we'll see what we can do!
  23. I'd say nexus. They seem friendly to a wide range of users. my girlfriend got one and got on with it really well with no technical knowledge. android also generally suits more advanced users quite well.
