  1. Hi, many thanks for your responses. I just assumed that the guarantee would only be for 12 months but the mothercare website says its 24. I think the difficulty is going to be (a) to find the warranty document and sticker (that's required for the warranty to be valid). unfortunately I still suffer from 'baby brain' and I cant remember what we did last week, never mind about over 12 months ago ;-) and (b) proving that it's not just general wear and tear. I'll give them a call anyway and see what they say. Thanks.
  2. Hi Strix. We've had it some time, over 12 months and been using it for 9 of those so I don't think that it would be covered by any warranty etc.
  3. Hi. Does anybody know of anywhere in Sheffield that does repairs on buggies? A bit of plastic has broken off of our Mothercare 3 wheeler but it means that the whole suspension has gone on one side when the joint pops out of place. Any help appreciated that means that we don't have to buy a new one! Thanks.
  4. Hi. We have block paving steps that have become loose and before our postie suffers a fall and sues us we need to do something about it! Can anyone recommend a tradesman who can help? Many thanks.
  5. looks like it's been 'nearly landing' all over sheffield tonight! wouldn't want to be inside it at the moment, or underneath it!
  6. It was heading in that direction. Someone on our street has seen this happen near here before and siad that he has taken their registration number (don't know where from!) and has reported it to the police. It's definitely put me off going up in one for sure.
  7. Has anyone just seen the near miss with this patchwork baloon in Norton Lees? Just looked outside the back door to see it disapearing behind the houses opposite. Having rushed out the house to see whether everyone was ok it has somehow managed to avoid crashing into the houses and was flying off in the distance. Crazy.
  8. Hi there. We're off out on Monday night for my Dad's birthday, but we don't know where to go. Can anyone recommend any good places to eat out over that side of Sheffield (around Dinnington, Laughton etc) Ideally looking for a restaurant or a pub that does traditional pub meals and a venue that's child friendly. Cheers
  9. Me and my bloke went to the gig on Wednesday and agree that Mr Hawley was on top form. It's a shame that we had to wait until he'd finished watching the footie before he came on! Now Kate was something else. Yes, she can obviously hold a tune and play her instument, but she needs to work on the lyrics. She lost us on the Firework song, which was a load of rubish. It sounded like a complaint letter to the Star by an OAP! along the lines of '' fireworks get louder and more frequent every year, I have to stay in and make sure my Dog doesn't bark too loudly and annoy the people next door''. So like Shakermaker we headed to the Bar for the rest of her set.
  10. Does anyone know what was happening in Woodseats last night at about 9.30pm? There was a large group of teenages hanging around Hackthorn Road and Scarsdale Road, before being moved off by the Police. Just wondered if there's a party somewhere i missed!
  11. I think it's going to be the train. Have looked on the sypte website (thanks babyboom) and the only way looks to be into central manchester and out again. really need to think about getting a car!
  12. Hi, does anyone know of any buses that go from Sheffield to Glossop?
  13. Thanks everyone for your advice. Went last weekend and was seen right away, although was advised that they could not administer injections as my dr had not provided a letter to authorise them to do so. So again another call to the Dr's who then have issued the letter (they didn't know they had to even though they told me to go to Hallamshire in first place)and thanks to the wonderful nurses at the Hallamshire I now how 2 very sore arms! Not being sacastic, they were brilliant there and were very helpful and supportive. Only 2 more trips to them to get the courses complete. To clear up a couple of things - there were no nurses available at my surgery as they were on leave and if i have a problem with that i was advised (by my dr) to write to Tony Blaire to complain! I will be changing dr's asap.
  14. thanks for the info - I have the prescriptions already so just need a nurse to inject them! the GP's that prescribed them have refused to see me to administer them.
