  1. What's in the budget for me? As I'm a pensioner who likes to vape, nothing actually; in fact I'll be worse off because of the extra tax on refillables on top of the VAT I'm already paying. The whole idea of tax cuts when the country is nearly £3 trillion in debt is absurd and irresponsible. If they did find themselves awash with money, they should be cutting VAT which is a regressive tax, meaning it impacts on those on the lowest incomes the most. We all pay the same but we don't all earn the same and it takes a disproportionately high % of the incomes of the lowest paid. At 20%, it must be having a crippling impact on businesses as it pushes up costs. When Thatcher came to power, it was 8% but has more than doubled since. The Tories being what they are, have decided to make yet another cut in direct taxes which are the fairest form of taxes because the more you earn, the more you pay. This also means that when these direct taxes are cut, the more you earn, the more you get back and this has been their chief weapon in making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Luckily for them, few people seem to understand the difference between direct and indirect taxation and the latter are known as stealth taxes because being hidden in the cost of goods and services, nobody has a clue how much they pay in a year. I'm sure the Labour Party know the difference but I've yet to hear any promises from them that they'll reverse the policies that Thatcher started by increasing income tax and lowering VAT.
  2. I've never voted for the Tories and I am complaining about how undemocratic our system is.
  3. 43.2% of the votes cast in Rochdale were postal votes, 13,460 in total with 12,335 going to Galloway which should be a cause of concern, given that postal voting has been linked with electoral fraud for a long time. 10 years ago, a judge called Richard Mawrey called for postal voting to be scrapped as it is open to fraud on an industrial scale. Scrap 'on demand' postal voting to curb fraud, says judge - BBC News The main problem for me is that it can't be proved but seems highly suspicious and open to abuse. It seems to be very popular in Muslim households where there's anecdotal evidence that the head of the household takes all the voting papers and fills them in before posting them off. Vote rigging in Muslim communities goes unchallenged because PC police are scared of causing offence | The Sun I know some people will scoff because it's from The Sun but it's a genuine cause for concern. Our FPTP system of democracy is flawed enough without people from other countries where corruption is rife, bringing their cultural attitudes which include a contempt for democracy with them when they come here. I'd like to see postal voting scrapped except for those who are registered as being disabled and a return to having to go to voting stations and showing ID before we vote.
  4. I actually felt quite relaxed watching the match because it was exactly what I was expecting. We've known from day 1 that the squad is nowhere nearly good enough to compete in the Premier League so I just found myself enjoying watching Arsenal's footballing master-class. This is what happens when you have an owner who must be the only Saudi prince to be living on benefits. There'll be no progress until he's gone.
  5. I suppose that's better than being beheaded.
  6. It'll be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire when Labour win. We'll see even greater levels of immigration with the applications of the illegals being fast tracked so they can claim they've brought the numbers down. They'll be allowed to bring their families here and given houses and access to benefits, the NHS and school places.
  7. This was the first indication of how terrified the British Establishment are of upsetting Muslims.
  8. It all comes down to people's personal standards. Those with high personal standards don't swear whilst those with low personal standards do.
  9. Well done to the voters of Rochdale for electing somebody who identifies as a cat. I hope the catering department at the House of Commons has stocked up on tins of Whiskas.
  10. We should congratulate HAMAS for getting its first MP in the British parliament, those postal votes certainly came in handy. I wonder how much time he'll spend tackling the grooming gangs.
  11. I don't understand why so many women are addicted to spending just for the sake of it. They call it retail therapy but it's just throwing money away to be constantly buying new clothes when they already have enough to open their own branch of Primark.
  12. It's the great British pastime-pandering to the woke minority agenda.
  13. Three of our judges putting the safety of the British public above the rights of Islamic terrorists; are we seeing the return of common sense at last? The problem is, this country is so infested with these medieval, religious fascists that she'd be just another drop in the ocean. The question isn't should she be allowed back but how did we get to this situation in the first place?
  14. I was very disappointed when Rachel Riley got married.
  15. Appearances certainly do change over time. This is what British women looked like in the 1960s This is what British women look like now This is what British women will look like in the future
  16. People born with the XY chromosome are male whilst people born with the XX chromosome are female; that's reality and no amount of virtue signalling can change that.
  17. Is Tommy Robinson an Inman? He must be, they're almost identical.
  18. I suppose if the police felt he was in danger, it was in his own interests to move him away. It sounds as though he was protesting peacefully which is supposed to be allowed in this country, unless it seems, you're protesting about Islamic terrorists.
  19. I expect he'll decide to have it erected next to the Thames so he and his supporters can then pull it down and throw it in the river.
  20. It's just another example of what a basket case country this has become. Is this part of Sunak's plan to stop the boats? If you dare to come here illegally, we'll buy you a house.
  21. When you have a weak criminal justice system and an ineffective police force, people will take the law into their own hands. We have a crime epidemic with little or no deterrent so at least one criminal has been severely punished.
  22. We already have the death penalty in this country, thanks to the cultural enrichment that the spread of Islam has brought us. Salman Rushdie was sentenced to death for writing a book, there's a teacher from Bradford in hiding after being sentenced to death for showing a couple of cartoons to his class, David Amess was sentenced to death and executed as were 22 concert goers at the Manchester Arena. If we're going to have the death penalty for writers, teachers, politicians, concert goers and anybody else who upsets the Muslims, we might as well have it for cold blooded murderers as well.
  23. He can still stand as an independent candidate so he'll get in through the Muslim vote, which is why Labour selected him but their cunning plan has backfired.
