Is the bus gate for that whole stretch on Boston Street or just to stop turning left on to London Road?

Clarification Of Junction 33 - M1

Why queue in the right lane when the left is empty? I filter and use whichever lane is the quietest. If those who queue in the right lane ultimately went to be on the left lane on the Parkway they should stick the the left lane, why switch lanes on the roundabout? Similarly on the Northbound slip road, both lanes can be used to enter the Parkway as it should/is on the Southbound one. There's hardly any traffic going off the motorway into Rovrum, most of it is bound for Sheffield. Filter and spread out: initiative -

Letting Buses Pull Out
Captain_Scarlet replied to BarryRiley's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I let buses out if they indicate and wait and no one's let them out before me. If they just go I will stand my ground and stay in my lane. Courtesy is all, I'll let anyone out if they don't force their way through, even cyclists and bikers who aren't in "any" lane if they're courteous. -

TJ Hughes branch relocation MEGATHREAD
Captain_Scarlet replied to firthandy's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Walsh's department store's building was bombed and severely burnt during the Blitz. A new building was built and Walsh's reopened. It became Rackhams then House of Frasier then TJ Hughes, all of which at one point were owned by House of Frasier. EDIT: I see 0114owl1867 was quicker -

Belfast is in the UK, I don't know why you're asking for this particular city. DHL, TNT and usual business couriers will deliver at their usual prices. Google. For couriers based in Sheffield, surprisingly: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=862&q=courier+sheffield&aq=f&aqi=g1g-v4g-m2g-b3&aql=&oq=

Too many number 79 buses!
Captain_Scarlet replied to hardworker's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
47 and 48 are run by First, the 79 by Stagecoach. What's your point? Neither operator cares about the other. -

Beauchief gardens - filthy
Captain_Scarlet replied to Streetfarce's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Beauchief Gardens has had a lot, lot less care to it since they removed the lovely wooden sign and replaced by the generic metallic green one. The borders were always trimmed, weeds out in the rockeries but there now are leaves everywhere, un-trimmed bushes and murky water in the brook. Darn shame. Shame about the garden centre too...
