  1. House of Fraser Meadowhall is being converted in to 1 of 3 flagship Flannnels stores outside London. Meadowhall is expected to be around 30,000 square feet in size. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/dec/19/mike-ashley-to-defy-odds-with-opening-of-giant-flannels-stores?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other https://fashionunited.uk/news/retail/flannels-to-open-3-regional-flagships-in-2021-including-liverpool-megastore/2020121852626
  2. 😂😂 - not a regular, just someone who knows what he wants. All the short cuts (between departments / marketplace areas) have been blocked off in Ikea, so you are forced to follow a set route in the market place (no nipping between departments to bypass areas), so I simply followed the route to the section I wanted in the market place (ignoring everything else), picked up what I wanted (30 seconds), headed straight to the tills, payed for it & left. Most of my time was simply having to walk to the specific section trying to avoid or bypass the numpties (who have no concept of social distancing) who saunter along in groups of 2, 3 or 4 (blocking the main aisles) without a care in the world, forcing everyone else to either wait behind them or have to try & quickly cut by them when an opportunity presents itself.
  3. I was at Ikea yesterday (Thurs 4th June ) at 14:25, queued for 10 mins to get in & no queues to pay at 15:30.
  4. Check out this store online. They sell hundreds of different mini figures. Far more than you’d get at the Meadowhall Lego shop. https://www.firestartoys.com/Shop/LEGO-Minifigures.html
  5. This is the company website & press release relating to the Ski village project. https://www.extremesportscompany.com/extreme-destination-sheffield
  6. Unless SCC actually own the shop / building / lease etc. Then what has it got to do with them what its used for. It's likely a private landlord who owns the shop. Now that Clinton's have moved out, they are likely renting out the space at a discounted rate as a short term measure until they get a long lease client to sign up. As far as i am aware, unless it's being used against its classification i.e. Shop is classified as A1 & its being used as a A4 then SCC have nothing to do with it & have no power to stop it opening. Clinton's would be classified as A1 & the cheap 'tat' shop would also be classed as A1. If you want to blame someone then blame the landlord for allowing a 'tat' shop to open in their premises. Seems this is another thread simply to bash SCC.
  7. All their fees are clearly shown on the website & to answer you question, Yes the 12.5% booking fee is normal. http://www.sheffieldcityhall.co.uk/ticketing-fees-explained/
  8. When i've bought Wagu, I normally have to buy it online (unless i'm in London & can buy it in 2 shops i know that sell it). Good quality Wagu is hard to find in most shops never mind in Sheffield. I've not tried this company yet, but looks OK. http://www.iforswelshwagyu.co.uk/index.html
  9. I hadn't driven up Crookes Rd since the resurfacing had started, but having driven up it on Good Friday my impression was that this was a very poor quality job. It looks like it was was quickly, cheaply & shoddily undertaken by Amey & their contractors. It looks cheap, it looks uneven in numerous places, it looks like they simply dug around the raised speed bumps & laid the Tarmac up to & over the edge, likewise with the kerbs, a lot have been damaged by the machine which rips up the old Tarmac etc. Very poor quality & I won't be surprised if it will need refuser ain't a lot sooner than they expect.
  10. I had problems yesterday (Wed 27th) at home with DAB Radio 2 & Radio 4. My car as DAB & had exactly the same problem where it kept on auto switching between DAB Radio 2 & FM Radio 2 (only switches if there is a poor digital signal). But once I had left the Sheffield area & was on the M1 southbound I had no issues & DAB worked perfect. When driving back home last night, no issues until is started coming close to Sheffield & it started auto switching to FM. So my guess is that there is a local transmitter issue.
