  1. My job takes me to Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds etc. These town centre's are far better for shopping and eating out. My home city, Sheffield is a load of crap compared, fact not fiction. Liverpool city centre is excellent for a night out, with China Town and many pubs and Liverpool 1 shopping centre. Why is Sheffield rubbishwhy? I don't know. Sheffield seems to only cater for the students, [ not complaining about you students ] but since the increase in student fees, this will soon end.
  2. Meadowhall is excellent, and offers a good choice of clothes outlets, no problems parking and no walking about in rain. Not cheap but not skint, so suits me.
  3. I thought the same, always reminded me of a school canteen, food was good though. Usually full of pensioners and students in afternoon, and me of course, love chinese food. Some times they do put to much addatives in, too much salt or msg but tastes good.
  4. Think it closed months ago. used to have some good buys.
  5. Marston's beer i think, horrible, blurrrrrr
  6. Sure that'll stop them. Probably can't even read and write
  7. You would think so, but every log book has been replaced to most car owners recently with a different colour header due to large number's of the old type being stolen. Could you just order a new one from the DVLA stating you lost the original?
  8. When i was a youngster in the 70's, my brother and me would wonder under many old railway tunnels before construction started. Assume these were filled in when Parkway was built
  9. Opened in 1974 Me and a friend rode down the lenght of it on a home soap box cart before it opened and got arrested at the bottom. No charges
  10. Another scam on the go is people taking out log book loans and then selling the car. No HPI check will show this. The car will be repossed by the log book loan company
  11. The Parkway was featured on Britains hardest pubs on ITV 3 a few years back, it may be on youtube. I used them all in the 80's and 90's. Parkway was rough but always felt safe there.
  12. I was paper boy in the 70's working for Herbert's paper / sweet shop on Parkhill pavement, the Sheffield Star on Friday night was huge and used to nearly kill me walking round the balcony's with them. Used to go in Parkway, Scottish Queen and others during 80's and 90's. Some characters in them pubs.
