Silverwing are looking for a singer! We’re a Sheffield based hard rock band influenced by 70s and 80s bands like whitesnake, Dio, Thin Lizzy and Y&T. We age from 18 to 21 so we’re looking for someone of a similar age. We have a full line up minus the singer and we aim to write original music and start gigging as soon as possible. Hi, we're a three piece consisting of a guitar player, bass player and drummer looking for a vocalist. We play mostly 80s rock and metal such as Whitesnake, Dio, Y&T, Thin lizzy, Motley crue, Van Halen, Ratt, XYZ, black sabbath, ozzy led zep ect and influenced by pretty much every band in the 80s. Everyone is a very competent player between the ages of 18 and 20 so we're looking for someone around that age. We're looking for a vocalist with a good range and power. We do some covers but mostly the focus is on writing original material influenced by 80s metal bands but making it sound fresh. If you're interested let us know Cheers

Just wondering if there are any jam nights for rock musicians in sheffield? I'm an experienced guitarist and like going to jam nights but I can't really find anything for rock players so if anyone knows somewhere it would be greatly appreciated. I'm really into the 80s stuff Cheers Zack

Looking for musicians to start an 80s style rock band. The focus is to be original and achieve a high level of musical ability. Too many bands in this vain are based on a formula and I want to get away from that but I'm not trying to re-invent the wheel. I have been playing for 6 years and have experience in other bands and doing gigs I'm a pretty advanced guitar player and I have a good range to my voice. I'm influenced by lots of classic rock/metal bands mostly from the 70s and 80s eg Y&T, Thin lizzy, Whitesnake, Dio, Blue murder. Looking for dedicated and competent people to work with. I'm a hard rock lead guitar player influenced by a lot of 80s and 70s rock. I have been playing for 5 years, have been in bands and done a few gigs. I can also do vocals and I am a pretty good songwriter. I'm a very dedicated musician who just wants to play the music I love. I'm looking for a band or musicians who are talented and hard working to write some originals with and get gigging and see where it goes from there. I'm 19 but I don't really mind about age as long as you can play well.
