  1. Doing it online is a two minute affair , either I put it on or the book keeper does it and I pay it when it's due . It's not as daunting as you fear and done quarterly ( I paid mine on thd 6th ) .... Plus it does look more professional if you have a vat number in your line of business
  2. I was brought up on Hyde park flats ( Lord row ) and we lived in a 3 bedroom flat and they were very good apart from the pharaoh ants iirc , we moved out in 76 . I went to St. John's school as well as the church where my mum and dad got married , I found a wedding photo of them on their wedding day with the cars being Uncle Stans from Simpsons and Sons . My grandparents lived on Ropery Row until the mid 80s , again that was 2 bedroom
  3. It's very very subjective . Some diss where I live but I'd not move out of the area as its straight out into the sticks , quiet and plenty of greenery . I've got family at dore and totley too but it doesn't bother me , got family on the manor too . It's all down to budget and what type of lifestyle they lead
  4. could some one recommend a gas / boiler engineer to look at my dads very old glow worm boiler ? westfield area . its been fine but hot water is not great . you may pm me any pointers or advice
  5. thats true, they make their profit on the finance. list the car cheap then wind you in on the finance, luckily or not as the case may be we dont use it but the base line service stinks. I remember a couple of years ago sat bartering with Terry over one of my cars which was quite good fun but this time as we left the salemen were heard chuckling to themselves that a punter had tried to get a few quid off ( we did not bother ) and to be told that they would not do it as some one else would buy it
  6. they have certainly gone down on our estimation after today, their after sales is shocking or lack of it. Her indoors was due to pick a new ish fiat 500 up at lunch today and she only found out it would not be ready after making a call to ensure there would be enough fuel in it to get back to work for some meetings . No prior warning and no expected delivery date. I called three times to be fobbed off as the salesman was busy and they had a code of practice not to interupt him whilst with a customer ( fair comment ) but this clearly does not extend to the customer after the deal is done , we were only advised at the time of sale a head rest that was chewed to bits may not be there but would follow on . When the salesman did return my call he was quite bullish and verging on rude. WIFEY is not a happy bunny , bearing in mind we have bought several vws off them for her and i have had a few jags and not on finance either , straight sales. needless to say we will not be going back having dealt with Terry as well over the years. Awful service . just had a call from her indoors after she has been down and they are trying to smooth things over , bit late they have blown it with us...never again
  7. If you have no basic knowledge of a car or what to look for I'd get some one that does like the chap that offered to call as you can get alsorts of tips good or bad offered which Could have you walking round in circles
  8. I've got my house up for sale with haybrooks at crystal peaks and they are absolutely shocking , don't return calls , mess you about with viewings , never get and feedback , we've had people turn up who did not known the house price ... Total waste of 16 weeks . Everyone I've spoken too have confirmed what a joke they are .
