I used to go to school at Wath Comp and a lot of my friends were from Rawmarsh. I don't know the exact street but I think if you stay out of the council bit (down near the Yorkshire Traction bus sheds) you should be alright. My friend lived at the back of the park down hollowgate I think it was called and that was ok. But if you haven't already bought one, I'd look at Swinton instead (no offence to anyone who lives in Rawmarsh).

I know the old ruin where he found the Kestrel is near to Hoyland Common, Barnsley. I know this because I can see it from my bedroom window. I know the school was in Barnsley (lundwood area I think) but it was knocked down. A lot of the film was also filmed in Hoyland Common surroundings and woods.

I don't know what quality you need but i get mine from Aldi 50 for £7.99 and they are OK.

I'd go the The Mustard Pot at Midhopestones, it's the best food i've had around here and they definitely cater for groups but you'd need a minibus to take you.
