  1. Would you object if it was a heterosexual couple that were shown kissing and cuddling...i don't watch eastenders but i imagine that the purpose of them showing that particular scene was to look at the relationship between the two people concerned so its nothing to do with sex being objectified and certainly isn't corrupting
  2. I'm a feminist and i'm not a munter, so there
  3. I don't think it would take off however i do think there is a gap in the market in terms of providing for women's sexual interests. It's very male orientated from what i can tell. As i've said in previous posts, there is a time and place for sex and nudity which can be enjoyed by all...so long as it doesn't mean that the persons involved are objectified or demeaned and I think that clubs such as these contribute to this whether they are aimed at men or women.
  4. Good insight Strix - it sounds a very reasonable explaination! Thanks
  5. Yes i agree with you and i like to think of myself as the former. My issue with lap dancing clubs is that it perpetuates the image of women as sex objects. There is nothing wrong with sex and nudity but when it has the effect that men just see women as objects then it is problematic. Furthermore, i think it encourages young people to try to live up to some sort of sexual ideal that doesn't actual exist and this corrupts the way that they approach normal sexual relationships. I'd love to see Page 3 banned and also for lads mags to be covered up (i think Cameron has plans for this). It's not right to have naked women displayed as if it is normal when you are reading your paper or going to the shops - there is a time and place for that sort of thing.
  6. I think it might be something to do with me starting a new job recently... I wonder if the affair part of the dream is my subconscious telling me that I feel that we are not spending a lot of time together because of the work we are putting into the business...and the hysteria part is perhaps due to me being a bit cautious in revealing my personality in my new job so when i sleep at night, i just go a bit crazy!
  7. It is a recurring dream - i've had it about 4 times in the past two weeks. I've only every had one recurring dream before...i used to dream that i had to go back to school and redo all my qualifications even though i'm 10 years out of school and have a degree. I soon realised that i had this dream whenever i was feel insecure about my achievements.
  8. Feminists don't fight for women's rights (what are women's rights anyway?), we want EQUALITY. To be treated equal to men and not considered any less.
  9. We are trying to build a business together which is going well but still very stressful...might explain some insecurity i am feeling perhaps?
  10. I don't know the person who he is cheating with in my dream but when i find out, i am hysterical and he doesn't care, which is very upsetting. The hysteria that i experience is just as prevalent as the actual affair in terms of the impact on my emotions (if that makes sense) and i'm trying to understand why that is. Dreams dreams dreams zzzzzzz
  11. As a regular runner, i aim to consume more than 2000 calories a day because i burn off half that amount each time i exercise 3-4 times a week. In a recent fitness magazine article that i read, it suggested that women who are following an active exercise programme should aim to consume 1,300 calories per day. I take offence to this because i don't think that inactive women should be consuming so few calories, nevermind those who are exercising regularly. Are you an active female and what do you think about this advice?
  12. i wondered if it was an insecurity thing...not with my relationship though...i just started a new job recently so i wonder if my unconscious is telling me that i feel insecure about that?
  13. you evil man! stop doing things with my husband!
  14. p.s. it's just a dream....my hubby definitely isn't haven't an affair but i've had recurring dreams in the past and would like to understand the meaning of this one (my dream book hasn't been much use so far)
  15. I keep dreaming about my husband having an affair and I find out and become hysterical but he doesn't care and says he'll carry on. What does it mean? Is it the affair that's the important or my hysteria?
  16. I've got a few people coming round this morning to take a look and give me a quote so fingers crossed it will simply be a case of refitting the tiles properly!
  17. Will they tell us if we haven't been successful? I applied for some tickets but no money has gone out of my account...

  19. If something works for you and you are not being ripped off in the process or being manipulated or being hurt by someone else, then I see no problem with it. For example - holistic medicine - might not actually work but if you believe it does then the power of the mind is such that you begin to heal.
  20. Hi - no it's an internal wall that is wet. The bedroom wall is attached to the bathroom which is where the shower is. Previously, we'd had water coming in from outside because of a guttering problem but that is fixed now. We are pretty certain that the damp is directly from the shower because it shares the same wall.
  21. Self employed dads can't claim paternity allowance...i'm trying to get this looked at by my local MP. Does anyone else feel this is unfair?
  22. My husband took off 3 tiles a few months ago because the grout was going mouldy and we think that the new grout might have failed since then (or he didn't put it on right bless him!) The wall that is damp is actually behind a radiator so i was surpised to find that it was so wet and has started to go mouldy because I thought it would have dried out. We've had a problem with this wall for ages - first it was leaking from outside which we got fixed recently and replastered the wall...we thought that was the end of it but now it is leaking from the shower -
  23. We think that the tiles in our bathroom are not properly fitted because the wall directly behind them in the next bedroom is sopping wet. Has anyone any suggestions about how to fix this problem other than refitting the tiles to stop the water coming through? Or is that all we can do? Also, we already tried doing this once before so if we were to get someone to do it for us - can you recommend anyone please? Thanks
  24. The wood in between the laminate of the shelf of my cupboard underneath the kitchen sink is very damp and every time the tumble dryer goes on, the actual material of the shelf leaks a bit. I need the shelf replacing - its not a big job but I'd appreciate some recommendations and quotes please. Thanks!
