Where to go looking for antiques in Sheffield

Think that misses the whole point of buying an antique though which is surely that you will be hard pressed to find another one elsewhere -

Haha! you must be joking! Sorry, had to laugh... If you drive over to Damflask you can run round the lake and it is fairly flat. Or run round Ladybower reservoir. -

Once i've gathered enough views on the topic (i'm going to leaflet residents on Psalter Lane) I'll write to SYPTE and First to raise the issue with them and put forward your proposals. -

Thank you for your kind post. It makes people like me who are unwillingly unemployed feel a tiny bit better after all the abuse from the daily mail readers on this thread. -

Boycott workfare in Sheffield
squidge00 replied to craigmason's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I'm unemployed and i HATE it. In the past, I've been able to get a job within 4 weeks. Its now 4 MONTHS since i was last in a job. I got made redundant. I feel isolated and my self esteem is shot. It is not fun being on the dole, believe me. And I'm certainly not idle - i help out with my husband's business, i volunteer for a sex trafficking project and i'm involved in local politics. But the problem is that there are few jobs around and a massive amount of competition for vacancies. Please don't judge people on benefits when you don't know their circumstances. -

Hi, i take your point about the frequent services because that's what i now use if I'm not walking. But for anyone who has limited mobility, it is unreasonable to ask them to walk from Ecclesall Road up to Psalter Lane especially as it is uphill. Edit - sorry just realised you made the point about pensioners...but we can't ignore them so need to find a solution -

Thanks everyone for your comments so far. I'm keen to have individual conversations with people so will be in touch via PM soon. If you live or work on the route and would like to talk to me then please let me know and I'll arrange to come and see you. -

Thanks for your input - it is interesting you say there is low demand because I believe there are still many people who would use the service if it were more reliable and frequent. Would you be willing to discuss this in more detail with me? -

Does it not turn up or is it late, or both? -

I used to use it but as the service reduced, I just resorted to using my legs to get into town. However, for anyone who is less mobile it is a massive problem -
Over the past couple of years, the number of buses serving Psalter Lane has dwindled and people are telling me that the No.4 service is often late or doesn't turn up at all. What are your views on this service? Would you like more buses on this route? I am willing to take this up with SYPTE but need a better idea of what people think because I only have the views of a small group so far. Thanks

Or Cafe Max/Fischers in Bakewell

Unemployment, is it really a problem or is it a lifestyle?

I'm very curious to know what job you got because that could have a big impact on how quickly you secured employment. -
My new tumble drier is out of action because we don't have an air vent to connect it up to. How much would it cost for someone to come and drill a hole and fit a vent and should I buy the vent and hose from Wickes in advance in order to save some money?
