  1. It's linked via vga. ---------- Post added 04-03-2017 at 16:48 ---------- That's no good to me as i'm using VGA and not DVI.
  2. I'm using 64-bit windows 7 home edition. In specs it just says onboard ati radeon 3000.
  3. It's a LG 22LS4D. Im sure i read it's 1680x1050.
  4. hi all. I have just retired my 19" pc monitor and purchased a old 22" LG HD ready tv. now I bought it so that I can use it with my pc aswel as use for my games consoles. now the native resolution of this tv is 1680x1050 but when I go into my display setting on my pc, it will only work best at 1024x768. but everything is huge. maximum I can select is 1600x1200 but it will not display. any other resolution that will display goes off the screen or the text is all fuzzy. it says in the setting that the display is a generic non-pnp monitor. will I be able to get 1680x1050 somehow or will I be stuck with my current resolution and have to put up with it? my desktop is a Compaq Presario sg3-220uk running the ATi Radeon 3000 graphics. much help is appreciated thanks
  5. not sure where you are but i often buy glass coca-cola bottles from the singhs premier shop at shirecliffe. £1 a bottle.
  6. i dont bother with itunes, i hate it. i use a programme for windows called CopyTrans which is a alternative to itunes. you can basicly just drag and drop onto your apple device.
  7. putting the refurb to one side I think the festive decorations at meadowhall have been in decline for the last few years. The place use to be magical for the kids and also for the big kids in us adults. The singing bears attracted people from all over the the country, but I bet some were there is a meadowhall official saying that they have spent more money in the last couple of years than they ever have, well if there is your going to have to dig a bit deeper if you want to attract people other than the ones from Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, at Christmas........ps I don't mind Christmas starting early apart from the amount times I have to listen to radio hallam playing that annoying Mariah carey song
  8. Terry garvey fantastic bloke, just had chimney swept ready for a new stove fitting this guy is very polite very professional also gave a lot of very welcolme advice...brilliant! thanks terry..0114 255 2765--07976767510.
  9. Keep seeing cameras on a pole connected to what looks like a tool box on the floor. I often see a load set up on the bridge as you come off the slip road on the parkway to go onto a57. Theres also one set up on moss way just before drakehouse crescent. What are they?
  10. Has anyone had dealings with a skip company called steel city recycling? We hired a skip form them 3 weeks ago which was filled on a sunday. On the next day my wife phoned them they said it will be picked up in the next couple of days...........that was 3 weeks ago, they have stoped answering there phones and the yard looks abandoned. I called to a friends house today and across his road was one of there skips,my friend told me it had been there for over a month,so now I have a skip in my front garden which I don't have a clue what to do with.
  11. The worse lights for me have to be the ones at the bottom of pitsmoor road and derek dooley way. In rush hour traffic the lights at the railway bridge on pitsmoor road are a nightmare, not only are you in a big que of cars, the lights only let about 1 or 2 cars through at a time. When im on my way to work at 5pm, the lights onto derek dooley are on red for ages making the cars back upto the bridge. Then the ones on pitsmoor road go green and you cant move. Then when they are red, the ones on the next road go green and let too many cars through which then backup and once the lights go green again you still cant move.
  12. Seen this happen. Was sat at the lights having just come off the parkway. Saw around 6 cop cars coming towards us chasing a car which ended up smashing into the side of a bus. Driver got out and ran. With the speed he was going and how hard he hit the bus, i am surpised he got out at all. Car was a real mess
  13. i bought the same box off ebay a few years ago and what a piece of crap it was. always crashed. the epg would not load unless you was sat on it for about 10mins. i could not update it throught the rs232 port or anything so it was stuck on the first ever firmware it came with. half the time it would not stop and play when you fast forward on a recording. worse freeview box i have ever used.
  14. brilliant. could wire a inline switch in so they are not constantly on during the day.
  15. if i was to get 2 of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-5050-SMD-12-LED-IP65-Waterproof-Flexible-Strip-Light-12V-3W-Car-Home-30cm-/281677994220?var=580683306143&hash=item41955118ec and then wire them to the back of the cigaret socket wiring, would this be too much strain and would i be able to use a usb socket to charge phones and sat navs at same time too?
  16. would these be ok to use as under dash lighting in a car? i have a usb adaptor that plugs into the cigarette socket. it has 2 USB one is 1A and other is 2A. would it draw too much power? was looking for something like this with red LED's for the footwell but dont want to mess with the car wiring them up.
  17. go to your C drive>windows>software and distribution>downloads. delete everything in that folder. then press start, in search box type CMD and then when it appears right click it and run as administrator. when CMD pops up, type in wuauclt.exe/updatenow and press enter. go to windows update and it should be downloading windows 10.
  18. ignore it. i got one from the same company about a month n half ago in the same car park. i was well within the time (38mins) can only assume they are trying to do me for parking where i shouldnt which was up towards the back near farmfoods but i was well before the prohibited line and from the shots of my car theres no way they can prove i was past the line. im ignoring it, already had a reminder letter and then a week ago one for a even bigger payment of £125 i think it was. still ignoring them. i havent done anything wrong, i wasnt past the line. theres no proof to show i was past the line either.
  19. i only ever hear problems with this OS when it comes to samsung. the lollipop update ruined my Glaxy S5. but on my new sony xperia Z3 it works 100% without a problem. infact i think its made it run smoother.
  20. i travel that way every night to work and have always kept to the left anyway but noticed straight away that the right lane is for uphill. you cant miss the giant white arrow pointing the otherway. cant help but think it kinda looks a little tight though for 2 way traffic.
  21. Does anyone out there own a x hose as add on tv ,if so do they work like they suppose to.
  22. in the process of downloading lollipop onto my sim free Samsung Galaxy S5 right now.
  23. i was driving along Elm Lane yesterday afternoon and couldn't beleive the amount of pot holes on there and how deep they was. each time i went over one i scrunched my face up in complete anger whilst listening to the sound of it destroying my car. i would normally swerve round them but its hard to on there what with the stupid speed bumps that also wreck your car and also because of cars coming the opposite way.
  24. what makes me laugh is all these 20MPH signs are going up on lamposts and painted on the roads, but the pot holes seem to still be present. stop wasting money on pointless signs that people will ignore and spend it on pot holes.
