  1. Hi Reini If you are at Sheffield Uni have you have the ELTC activities and the One World Cafe opportunities Voluntary activities as Bludragonfly suggested are also useful It's getting towards the time of year when academic departments often become quite sociable with staff get-togethers/parties so try to maximise these opportunities and be open with people in terms of you wanting to practice your speaking skills. Also if there are specific groups of people within your department who you need to communicate with regularly take this 'festive' time of year to suggest taking a tea or coffee break - offer them a biscuit or some cake and you may be able to extend the conversation time.
  2. I have done Reiki for people with a range of complex health needs. Reiki is used in a number of NHS settings to support people undergoing cancer treatment. I used to do Reiki in London at a centre that supported people who were living with or affected by HIV. Reiki doesn't claim to cure but it can be highly effective in conjunction with other treatments to help people come to terms with the long-term health challenges.
  3. Is there anyone who has had Reiki attunements and would be interested in be part of a Reiki share group in Sheffield? I have a venue in Hillsborough and at the moment I'd just like to find out if there are other people around who would be like to be part of a Reiki share group. I've attended and run Reiki shares in London and they are a great way of practising Reiki and benefitting from the energy when a group of people all have the same intent. I've also done charity fundraising with people from Reiki shares. I'm attuned to Reiki level 3 but I've participated in Reiki shares ever since my first level attunement. A Reiki share can also be a great way to get back into regular practice if you haven't done any Reiki for a while. Please PM me if you are interested. I haven't got any set ideas at the moment about dates / times as I'm quite flexible in terms of times so I would want to see what was most convenient for other people. I know from personal experience that Reiki really helps me to combat winter blues and in-your-face commercialism at this time of year. Hope to hear from you Love and light Sharon
