  1. I'd highly recommend Mr Gearbox too. I was very happy with the service & they seemed very straight. I say that because I took my car elsewhere & received quotes & diagnoses that were wrong & pricey. I took my car to Mr Gearbox they fixed it for a reasonable price & I had my car back the next day:thumbsup:
  2. Well said, I never feel harassed by the British Legion & I always wear a poppy. I see it as a mark of respect & a way of saying thank you to those who have fought for our freedom.
  3. I'd highly recommend Auto Dynamics (01142 431019) they're based in Attercliffe. I used black circles to find my tyres, I bought my tyres through them then had them fitted at Auto Dynamics within a couple of days! The tyres that I have are all-season tyres (+mud & snow) but I drive a 4x4. If you don't drive a 4x4 it may be worth finding out if you can have such tyres fitted onto others cars to save changing them every time winter comes around?
  4. I totally agree, I avoid Sheffield town centre like the plague:gag:!!! It's an awful place especially compared to other northern cities such as Leeds or Manchester. It's dirty, dreary & it's getting worse...I could go on:rant:
  5. I saw this accident too, I think I drove past just as it had happened. I saw the red cross pulling a man from the upturned vehicle through one of the side windows. This was before the fire engines & police arrived. I'm not sure what happened but it did look awful. To be honest the car looked pretty bad and was so crushed that I thought it was a small hatchback as opposed to a people carrier. I hope al those involved are fine it's awful seeing stuff like that. If anyone knows those involved it'd be good to know they are ok. I drove past that way again today and there are no police sgins up so hopefully that's a good sign:thumbsup:
  6. If these areas were soley for people then there would be 'no dogs' signs up outside the park. I think that the parks in Sheffield are used mainly by dog walkers all year but the when the weather improves more people want to use the park & see fit to complain even when they probably wouldn't give the park a second thought once the weather takes a turn for the worst. I can't see why you're complaining in all honesty parks are for everyone...people, yapping dogs, screaming kids etc
  7. The event is now closed - thank you to everyone who showed an interest
  8. I don't believe we should ban homecoming marches that absolutley absurd. It made me so angry when I saw the protests on the news yesterday:rant:. The homecoming marches are about welcoming our troops back home and celebrating that fact that they've made it home safely as well as remembering those that didn't make it home. If the protests were really about anti-war sentiments than the protests should have been directed at the Government NOT our troops; they are simply doing their job. I also believe that as David Cameron said today at PMQ's theses protesters should bear in mind that they wouldn't be able to protest had it not been for the years of work our armed forces have done to protect our country and give us the freedom we take for granted. Right, rant over:thumbsup:
  9. Hi there, I had my tyres fitted today at Auto-Dynamics and I was extremely happy with the service. The guys were very helpful & friendly and made me feel relaxed whilst I waited. Keep up the good work, I'll be recommending you to everyone:thumbsup:
  10. I just wanted to give a big:thumbsup: to the guys at Auto-Dynamics who did a great job fitting my new tyres. The guys are very friendly & helpful & I'd highly recommend them!
  11. I feel the same about ecclesall woods. There's this one elderly couple with a very aggressive Alsatian dog and the make walking my dog a nightmare as they simply alow it to run wild even though they know it's dangerous. The other day this same dog attacked another dog that was with a young boy he was terrified & the elderly couple couldn't get the dog under control. I'm not been disrespectful but they are very old & frail & I therefore don't believe that they should be walking such an aggressive dog. I don't think anything will happen about it until the dog does some serious damage to another dog or a person. They know that the dog is out of control as they freeze on the spot as soon as they see other dog walkers & start screaming at the dog. It makes me very angry, I've taken to keeping a large stick & some hair spray with me just in case. The woods are there to be enjoyed by everyone so they should take other people in consideration & keep their dog undr control. Right rant over:rant: phew!!!!

  13. I read somewhere that it only provides low impact workouts, which means it doesn't give you a good cardio workout. I don't have one so I've no idea if this is true:-)
  14. I'd second Aagrah, lovely food & service, & it's perfect if you want something in the city centre. My favourite though is Gulshan's on the wicker it's very authentic:thumbsup:
  15. Thanks Hook, I've found some great tyres on BlackCircles:thumbsup:
