  1. Hi I hope someone out there can help me with a search I am undertaking. I have a few brass, I would imagine, bookbinding letter stamps. Plus a bookbinding roller wheel. These few stamps/punches/wheel have the details: H. SAMPSON, WALKLEY ROAD, SHEFFIELD Stamped into the brass body of the item. I have searched the Kelly’s directories and other reference sites but cannot find any reference to H Sampson. Hope someone may be able to help. WOULD PUT IMAGE OF ONE OF THE ITEMS UP HERE BUT SADLY NO IDEA HOW TO DO SO. NAME COULD POSSIBLY BE SAMISON
  2. Hi Thanks for response, much appreciated. Doug Lambs book does not have an image of The Victoria. A wander up the Cliffe book definitely does not have a picture of the pub. I wrote the two Wander up the Cliffe books some years ago - I couldn't find a picture then and obviously still unable to find one Thanks Mike
  3. Thanks for the advice. I have been through the library archives and picture Sheffield but found only one image which just shows the top section of the pub and nothing else. Only the upper windows and roof can be seen.
  4. Hi Can anyone on Sheffield Forum help me in my search for an image of an old public house. The Victoria Hotel at 621 Attercliffe Road near the corner of Sleaford Street. Over the years I have managed to get photos of nearly all the pubs in this area and would very much appreciate help with this image. Mike
