Because of high travel cost's been considering a move into the city center to be closer to work and was wondering on best places to rent and worse and the pro's and con's.Theres a place on blonk street what seems to have lots of places to rent the one what looks like a big blue cone...so any city dwellers on here ?

Gosh how dare people who act have to work this day have the cheek to moan because they can not get into to work thanks to roads been closed,I mean really the cheek of it.

Need more would settle for some !! 2 hours last week before any showed there face round here by then the people causing the problem were gone. over past year there seems more druggie and dealers,gangs of out of control kids/teens ect ,joyriders 3 times in past 2 weeks had close calls with them,def seen a increase in problem familys and people been moved into area and as anybody seen that young lad who is always drunk hangs about sometimes outside asda sat with half bottle of vodka/bacardi between wall and trolleys also seen him around school road area in daylight are police turning a blind eye to him as well as everything else round here. I have no confidence in the police anymore (not that you them in high green)

Anybody at all ?

As anybody ever lived in the council flats on cambridge court in the city centre ? if so are they any good ? There next to the spar and across road from lyoids bar (or how ever you spell it) cheers

I was told on monday i was going to serco,I had great pleasure telling them the day after where to go after i found out i had got the job i was after...all done by myself with no help from jc or any silly goverment course's....so up yours a4e/serco/dwp and jc

While were on the subject of everything been too expensive....went to asda earlier and some of there prices have shot up......think i might need a pint later to recover at least they wont start chargeing silly prices for a beer

They were rubbish....and so was the owners customer skills...thank god on a diet from 2morrow

It was haddock not cod,could not see a price list but in fairness did not really look very hard.Did not think it was that large really or perhaps i was just been fat git.Of course despite all this there was no reason for owner to get face on just because he was asked if that was right price.......pah knew should have gone to kfc last time i went you could get a bargin bucket for 6.99........i dont do fast fast very often anymore:suspect:

You know them pointless rants we all luv,well heres mine ! Just been in chip shop across from royal mail sorting office in chapletown and for a large fish and chips and large peas £6.35 ! Rip off or what i thought i was in london or a fancy branded seaside chain but not a local chipshop. I did ask owner if he had charged me correct and he got right face on prob got a chip on his shoulder about something and wanted to put me in my place or even worse batter me. But joking aside that is rather expensive dont you think.

so if there a bus service from chapeltown/high green to hillsborough on a sunday and back again,last sunday ended up having to flag a overpriced taxi back just after 9pm last week. looked on website nothing for main 2 found something about a 66a but when i went to look at website for tm travel site just kept crashing,must be someone on here in the know

Just wondering if there are any christrians on the forum living in and around high green/chapletown area. and could you suggest a good church/group for someone new. I was considering the pentecostal one near the pizza hut but was wondering about the average age groups there and what to expect. No silly replys please.

Pretty sure he is there reg driver plus should they not be geting paid by the hour at min wage at least ? you see when i asked him why the extra charge when it was already paid for in advance,first he said his manager had told him to ask,so i asked why whats it for then he kept giving stupid answers like topping on top of pizza ect then he kept trying to avoid any more questions very dodgy....prob thought he was delivering to a drunk late at night.

Been reported and its not so much about the ammount £1, its the fact this order was prepaid for, was over ammount for free delivery and when the driver was asked why all he kept saying was his boss told him to ask for a extra £1 but would not say why ?. All rather suspect and driver even said he had just said same to prev customer. Wont be useing them again......more due to the hour stuck on the loo this morning

Just had a pizza delivered from place next to spice cottage and driver tried to get more cash off me. When asked why could not give me a proper reason and mumble something about his manager telling him to do so. Needless to say told him to bog off and kept his tip in my back pocket cheeky git. Anyone else had this ?

If its a postie who sort's there own round in the morning then it is there fault. If its a postie who as there round sorted for them then they should be write m/s on the letter and pop it in the postbox. but at end of day There is no excuse for for not reading the address correctly.

Royal mail managers complete and utter joke most of them. But posties need to remember there also on a good wage and also expected to provide a service so when your not even able to do the simple things like put mail in the right letter box expect people to got angry. you lost a lot of the publics goodwill when you kept going on strike for all the good its one you. But i still think the finger of blame should be pointed more at the managers.

Ah but the questions are 1,did you ever see it and get your copy ? 2,when did you start working for them ?

Well considering royal mail dont do crb checks (and i can prove it before mr postman gets all high and mighty) i suspect you will be right.
