I'm a journalism student at the University of Sheffield and I'm writing an article for some coursework on Fir Vale Workhouse, which is now occupied by Northern General Hospital. I was wondering if anyone knew of people who'd been in the workhouse or had any family stories about it and wouldn't mind sharing them either on here or in a message to me? If you wouldn't mind giving a name and general area (e.g. Shiregreen, Firth Park etc.) then that would be great! Thanks!
