  1. i would ban all harry potter books, as it's a load of b******s, together with barbara cartland, oh and the da vinci code, as that guy cannot write, also anyhting with carol vorderman on the cover
  2. am going next month too, can't wait, crucible is such a good venue as well!
  3. thanks spiderpete, jgsafc, kick off at 8.
  4. thanks for your suggestions! may try the one in netheredge, i do not have fond memories of walkabout!
  5. ey up! Am thinking of watching France/England on Saturday, which pubs are good to watch sport? A big screen, not chavvy, and nice ale are all a bonus! Thanks
  6. I still have mixed feelings towards TB, i think he did a good job overall, it is just the normal thing in politics for people to slag off everything a politician did, when he/she has been in power for so long. I have good faith in Gordon, but i also admit being prejudiced against tories, could never imagine myself voting for them! It's also a good thing that the poll on here is in no way a representation of how Sheffield would vote if elections were to be held soon, as seeing BNP getting as many votes as Lib Dems is a worrying sign!
  7. Hi carmencarter, yep i am as well. Am not surprised we are not allowed to vote for general elections here, when they see what we have elected recently back "home"!
  8. hi carmencarter, yep i am, as you guessed. mind you, when i see what we have elected recently back "home", no wonder we are not allowed to vote here!
  9. no slimsid, am just a frog, so am allowed to vote in local elections, but not general ones, though i could probably fit in option b) too!
  10. To those complaining about people going to work even when sick, well that's the case in my company, where we're not paid for sickness, but also have to face a meeting with management when they deem you have been off too often (more than 5 days in a year). the result is there are germs going round nearly all year long, but they do not seem to be bothered. am sick at moment, pretty bad actually, but have been to work all week, just hope i passed it to my director, as my desk is next to hers :-)
  11. despite having been disappointed on several issues by TB, i would still vote labour, that is if i were allowed to vote in general elections
  12. thanks Hecate! i have always used NHS, so did not know how it worked in private health!
  13. we behaved differently mainly because our parents had not given up on us. I was no angel, but was brought up in the respect of other people. I used to teach in Doncaster, and more than often, when parents were called because of a behaviour issue, we would get replies like "i don't know how you teachers cope with him/her, to be honest, we do not know waht to do anymore"!I decided to quit and do something else as it became more and more frustrating! I don't think national service would solve much, i had to do mine as i was in france at the time, and the ***** remained ***** even after 10 months of service, and were even worse when they had a free weekend!
  14. Hi everybody! I need to have light treatment for my psoriasis, but have decided to go private as i am fed up with it now and do not want to wait for months with NHS. Problem is i googled it and could not find any private dermatologist, anybody has any idea? Youe help is much appreciated! x
