  1. Does anyone have any recent recommendations for Sunday breakfast? ......love Jonty's but it doesn't open Sunday so looking for alternative. Ceres is fine but would like another option (tried Tamper recently and while coffee was excellent food was pretty average). Preferably Sheffield City centre or S10/11 .
  2. You would like to think so but would he? for certain?
  3. But persuits like rock climbing, or sailing, or cycling, or playing football are all forms of exercise which is actually good for you. Would you pay for the treatment of the coach potatoe who stayed safely indoors watching Tv but had a heart attack?
  4. Well said (that the taxi driver was wrong after all as he negatively impacted on the OP and 3 others day).
  5. Glad the OP had more respect than that - what your mate did was very wrong and shame on you for advocating it.
  6. You agree that Go4Its comments are wrong so bit mystified why you disagree with RRs "funny"?
  7. Incredibly late? for a party? The children didn't have school next day - what the taxi driver did was disgraceful - what the OP did wasn't.
  8. I think you should have called his bluff and let him take you to the police - what would they have done arrested a two year old for being ill? A disgraceful way to behave.
  9. That sounds an awful experience - the taxi driver should have taken you home (especially as you seem to be quite content that the "sick fee" had to be paid). ---------- Post added 23-06-2013 at 18:19 ---------- So taking a poorly child home is not warrented ? The taxi driver would still have to do the valeting. It was a family birthday party - you not into them?
  10. Would be better to merge that thread to this one (not the other way round) as the going out section doesn't seem quite appropriate.
  11. Agree-only bought once and it would have been better used as an ornamental object that an item of food ; not pleasant tasting at all (all a bit emperors new clothes) but shame that what appeared to have been a Sheffield success no longer is.
  12. I ' m with you on this Irene - £3.50 a child (so £35.00 for 10 kids ) and all they ate according to the OP was a lettuce (50p) some tomatoes (1.00) and a couple of peppers (1.50) between them - so 30 pence worth each and yet the OP complains the food is costly and wants it for free. Not sure the local veg shop , who incidentally offers excellent value for money, will be making as much of a mark up as she appears to be. If this was a charity supporting local children then fare dues - but asking for freebies as a business so make more profit- and not alluding to that in the thread- is a but rich. Good offer though from HHGroup. ---------- Post added 19-06-2013 at 20:14 ---------- I ' m with you on this Irene - £3.50 a child (so £35.00 for 10 kids ) and all they ate according to the OP was a lettuce (50p) some tomatoes (1.00) and a couple of peppers (1.50) between them - so 30 pence worth each and yet the OP complains the food is costly and wants it for free. 13. My partner had a arthroscopy using local not general anesthetic - can you ask for that?
  14. Didn't quote all as was illustrating that some of those in your quoted article sounded indigenous...........can you explain how you know any (or none , or most) of them are English? This one: John McLachlan sounds a bit non English to me.
  15. From the sex abuse case: Amanda Spencer, aged 22, from Canklow Road, Rotherham, is charged with 41 offences all relating to the prostitution of victims who were aged between 12 and 20, between the years 2006 and 2010. She appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court yesterday along with five men. One of the men cannot be identified for legal reasons. The other four are Lee Unwin, aged 26, of Nethergreen Road, Nethergreen; John McLachlan, aged 65, of Downham Road, Firth Park These sound like they may be indigenous. Not sure how you concluded from the reports you posted that the others weren't ? Is it simply based on names (like my presumption here) or other considerations? Is this guy indigenous? : http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/local/man-admits-murder-of-sheffield-church-organist-1-5749257
  16. Or - on the football theme how about blow football -using straws and a ping pong ball ; could weave in the Sheffield teams colours (banners/ scarves etc)
  17. Have done - not sure where the details of the timings / delays are are. Thought the issue was the food didn't arrive at the same time.
  18. I thought it was the norm at all Wagamamas for the food to be delivered at separate times - and every time I have been that has been explained to us. I like Wagamama as a chain and usually hope my food isn't out as that way I get to eat it - if its first everyone digs in! ---------- Post added 16-06-2013 at 21:59 ---------- It is fast - just each dish delivered as it is cooked.
  19. If they are then they would be snatching a child (thankfully unheard of in Sheffield despite regular threads like these) rather than using general method of grooming - which is via social media and aimed at vulnerable kids that are usually known to them. ---------- Post added 15-06-2013 at 12:48 ---------- Wheres the twaddle in that post? can't see it myself- talks about : - waiting for police advice - the over exaggeration of child abduction threats (where are these many cases?) both sensible comments - so not sure where the daft attitude is.
  20. But they are not in cars in in Hillsborough snatching kids of the streets which is what is being discussed.
  21. Have a lovely time - and let us know what you think of it...........
