Maybe because the cards are reusable yet people still get on board purchase a weekly card then throw it away at the end of the week only to purchase a new one the following week instead of reusing them

about time they did away with buying these tickets from drivers,i moved over to smart card for my city bus monthly back in November call once a month to top up not a problem and i dont hold the bus up anymore. Happy days,just frustrating especially on a Monday when i need to catch a connecting bus and miss it because the driver had a dozen or so weekly passes to do .

Its ok advertising all the changes,bloke behind me on bus this morning asked for a "city bus" week ticket to be told software not updated so not able to issue ticket.he had to settle for a city wide instead,come on "FIRST" sort it........

Unfortunately no flypast due to recent engine fire,they are hoping to rearrange for later date according to cathedral Facebook page.

I use FIRST everyday,and must say they arnt that bad.Most of us now own smartphones with access to App's that give up to date arrivals of buses so never really a problem if a bus is late. try the FIRST bus app or MOOVIT ,both are free and very reliable.

FLICKR was revamped last year, now 1TB of free storage,personal pictures can be uploaded privately. i have over 4000 photos on my flickr account and only used 2% so far.

I use the Optech,got for about £20 from amazon.very pleased with it but as above keep an eye on the dials when at hip height.

I'm with AlexAtkin on this one,if ever i go through the peace gardens the camera goes in the bag. Sad really some of the best pictures you see are of kids at play. Maybe we need to have a water play area as they have at Clifton park in Rotherham,then the "PEACE" gardens could live up to its name
