  1. When my wife said 'I do' and our married wonderful life started....Every now and Again she lets me give her a necklace to say thank you!
  2. So they could get nothing. Thats disgusting! Absolutely disgusting!
  3. Well their income is bog standard esa is about £95 a week and jsa is about £130 a fortnight. Thats it. No kids so no other benefits. No savings. Rent is £550 a month for their 3 bed house. Times are tough for most but how they are supposed to live in their home on that is impossible.
  4. Hi, My sister and partner have just lost their jobs. One is in ESA and one has just gone onto JSA. They live in a private house with rent of £550pcm. Theyve just applied for council tax benefit and housing benefit. How much will they get roughly? Thanks
  5. Ear pain caused by flying. You cant stop a baby from crying, you can only soothe it once its started and be prepared as best you can. I wouldnt put my baby through a flight unless essential until it was a bit older because of the 3 reasons originally stated.
  6. 1) Even ear pain is enough to stop me putting a baby through it unless i needed to. 2) I said 'if' didnt I? I didnt say 'babies are always upset' 3) see original 1 & 2 Try reading before pulling someone up. Its personal choice
  7. Apologies if this has been asked before. Ive just been looking through all the different bits and the history and expats section is really interesting, felt like sticking my nose in an old book and losing hours of my life (im a real book work at when in the right phase). Amazing local history filled with old stories which made me smile even not knowing the people or the areas! Whats your favourite section?
  8. East dene working mens club in Rotherham puts many clubs to shame these days, which is a shame there isnt more like it, which is how it used to be. Its nearly always busy, good mixture of acts, mixture of young through to old punters and on events like new years eve its filled to the rafters with young and old.
  9. I wouldnt take my young child on a plane until a bit older unless i had to in a emergency to see family or something because 1) A baby cant tell you if they are in pain/ill and medical treatment on a flight is limited/none existant 2) its stress for a parent if the child is upset 3) its stressful for everyone else.
  10. My cousin lived opposite a pub called, the terrier (i think thats what it was called) and that was very rough! Although not sure worse than eastwood.
  11. I dont know hackenthorpe but i do know eastwood. Its main population is not white british, which to some may be a good or bad thing. My friends daughter aged 25 just moved there as a single parent as thats the only choice a private housing company gave her. She feels isolated and would prefer a more mixed race community with white british people as well. She also doesnt feel safe at night there. Its good for transport though. I wouldnt touch the area with a barge pole, its dirty looking and rough, just my opinion from living near to it for a few years,A few years ago.
  12. Dogs cant rectify the problem, its a power cut not caused by owlerton.
  13. As above, all lights in dogs have gone off, cant see surrounding houses from where im sat. Do you know? Cheers
