  1. I am wanting to start a gym up in sheffield and am currently looking for suitable premises to do this, if anyone has anything suitable can you contact 07714883979 thanks
  2. I work as a doorman in town at the weekend and we know of a guy who is of stocky build around 6'4 shortish hair, not sure about in the day time but he goes around at night asking for money because "he's lost his bus fair to get back home" when people say they haven't got any money to give him he becomes violent and intimidating, he uses his size to intimidate people to give him money, he has also tried snatching women's bags and mobile phones. Ive had quite a few run-ins with this guy and wont stand for him begging or intimidating the customers who come outside for a cig, if you see this man around town at night just ignore him and carry on walking and if your a female on your own just walk into a pub he will go straight away.
  3. Not too sure what your expecting from posting this but its clear to see that people are all thinking the same thing lol
  4. This topic is pretty useless seen as it would never ever happen, your street is owned by the council therefor permission would need to be granted first and if the council said yes to that they would be taking the **** out of the police as to say there not doing there job! which would never happen, private security are only able to patrol private land
  5. Am not defending him if i was in that situation i would be able to tell the difference but ive had a lot of training in many different areas, this is a point that gets brought up regularly and the only solution is more training which is available, an apology wouldn't have gone a miss but that's up to the doorman in question.
  6. Ive been a door supervisor for over 9 years now and what you people fail to realize is we have a split second to determent weather a person is drunk or not and ms is a sticking point as its hard to separate the two, my question is if the gent dint have ms and was really drunk and ended up smashing someone over the head with a glass then the same doorman would get labeled as not doing his job right because he should have detected that he was drunk and ejected him way before the incident happened. see my point, and calling doormen thick is unfair we do a good and fair job every friday and saturday night we work closely with the police to make going out and socializing a fun and safe thing to do, and with the nice weather people tend to drink on a saturday afternoon and go out saturday night already drunk so it doesn't cos them as much so were even busier in the summer months. my advise would be to send the venue a letter explaining whats happened and getting them to ask the company who put the doormen on the venue to think about re-training the staff maybe, if people though about what they put in the post there answering then sf would be a better place!!!
  7. They are rubbish! had mine done there and they scratched it on the side
