  1. well got wycombe right ,got sheffield united right,so thats 2 out of 4 up to now, wednesday to beat watford as well
  2. its very intresting,as a trades man for SCC or chesterfield or where ever, theres holidays,a good pension ect, ect,so if sheffields the lowest, chesterfield is higher, take it london ect will be even higher, would it not be cheaper and more benifical,as they have to have vans, petrol ect, plus PAYE ect,to pay them a bigger wage, make them all self employed and then they can claim lots of money back tax wise and the council would save as well, also possibly need less management staff.
  3. he told me that he was moving to derbyshire council to do the exact same electricians job ,as the one he did for sheffield,he said it was a well known fact that sheffield was one of the lowest pay for there workers,he was a electrician working for SCC housing as a electrician, there must be a pay table or league table for what these guys get paid for the different councils?
  4. is this a idea to end up with just private contractors?it seems such a great shame when we have nice quality young trades people leaving not to work for themselves, but leaving to work for neighbouring district councils like chesterfield as they pay £8,000 a year more,he said he thought sheffield was the lowest pay for tradesmen,is this because now its back in house, its often said SCC like this as they can move around there income as needed, but its a sad loss, and will end up where we lose out as young men especially those with familys ect, need cash income as many only have that as a income.
  5. sorry he did work for SCC and liked the job, repairing council tennents house as a electrician, but said the pay by the our council for a electrician was low compared to other councils accross england,so thats why hes gone to do the same job foe £8,000 per year more working for chesterfield council,so this job was not as a contractor.
  6. just a observation that happened today,i had a top young man come to do some electrical work on behalf of SCC,what a nice clean, covid masked ect ,person,he came did a top class job and clean tidy ect,i said hope to get you again,he said sorry i am off to work for chesterfield council,i said thats a loss of a good young electician ,he explained that they pay £8,000 per year more and has he was married with a young familyand every penny counted,so he is leaving due to this reason,he also said sheffield council workers are paid low against what most other citys pay ect,i have no idea if this is true, but if it is no wonder we have a shortage of quality workers,i think its short sited as we could be training, then losing top young workers, can others explain whats the truth, but i cannot see it not being true as this young man was happy apart from the wages.
  7. wednesday will stay up,rotherham, birmingham, wycombe all down ,sufc down as well.
  8. i think it would make a great independent store ,with lots of sheffield retailors, but the problem would be the rent and rates
  9. it said in the star that SCC wont lose any money, but will be stuck with this huge shop, also tui are closing a huge amount of shops.
  10. so how much has it cost SCC? retail stores are sinking faster than the titanic, look at the moor ,loads of retail empty shops, the covid has not helped,i myself went each sat to put on the irish ect and other bets at my local betting shop, theyve lost me in the shop now,i do it all online now,its easier, less health risk, and i can stay in when its rainy or snowing, simple,so i can see only small retail outlets and shopping on line for the future.
  11. hi are they still fishable, theres the big pond ex boating lake and the next one up,we used to fish the boating lake years ago with a line and put them in the other pond, but anyone fished recently?
  12. i agree with that,as they leave food ect,in the rose garden, bread at the pond ect,ect and its there over night, same with bins, also a bad place is the kids area, lets hope its sorted as a man said to me at 6pm onwards the rose garden is a rat playground,i really want to visit my favourite park again, but minus roland rat and his pals.
  13. the rat boxes need sorting asap, good idea to cut bushes down, but those boxes need sorting, dont they have a friends of graves park group? i believe they have, they also need bins with lids, good litter picks and signage and your cat sounds a good hunter, could do with a few of them.
  14. years ago a say furniture company ,would remove the old bed or 3 piece suite or wardrobe ect, free and take it to the tip and it was free, now you cannot do it,so it encourages fly tipping by rogue traders,my way of thinking is this furniture traders, who remove from rate payers houses the old suite ,mattress ect, should be allowed to tip free of charge,as they are only taking a rate payers old goods for disposal, this would greatly help cut down, fly tipping,it would cost veola more, but the ratepayers have already paid,
  15. the problem is if theres a big queue and you are coming down blackstock road, you cannot see round the bend ,for coming traffic, its horrendous and some one could be killed in a crash, the council should do a slip way for the queue, even if its only a gravel road, veola dont want to spend to solve there problem.
  16. wycombe down,rotherham down,coventry down,wednesday,derby just stay up,no problem believe.
  17. why can you not get a SCC property to rent?
  18. yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  19. now its pay back to us and our owner,at least keep us up you players, before you move on to the next team, thats keeps you all in luxury.
  20. thanks for that padders, but we all need belief,we can do it
  21. its never to late until its to late believe,we can do it,funny how rhodes scores, when hes played correctly ,lets hope we can stay up
  22. WELL a nice rest ,just thought i would put this up,we can get a point at least ,what do others think, believe it can be done.
  23. i told you all,all rhodes needed was a chance to play and be given the ball, yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss mr basset told you so,now off to that next win at watford ,i said believe, yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
