  1. Hi all, Can someone tell me if the Harlequin in Sheffield City centre dies a pub quiz, and if so, what day/time please? Thanks Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  2. Hi all, Thought i'd try and get some advice before calling the BG Engineers (as our boiler is covered). We have a 3 storey house, shower downstairs, bathroom upstairs. When we have a shower, run a bath, the hot water turns cold after 5 mins. If i listen to the boiler, the flame tries to fire once the taps/shower is turned off, but then the flame goes out when turning the taps back on. It's not so much of a problem in the kitchen, where the boiler is located. The make/model is a Worcester 28i and is about 10 years old. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks
  3. Hi all, Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong section, wasn't sure where to post it! I recently bought a an 22" Panasonic LCD TV from the classified ads, but it was faulty on purchase. Unfortunately, the seller doesn't seem to want to reply to my texts/PMs, so I'm stuck with looking at possible repair The display has a fault, regardless of what menu or input i try, the display has a fault on the colours. This is also the same regardless of the input i use (Freeview/xbox, etc.) It's a bit hard to explain, so I've i've linked some pics: - http://i50.tinypic.com/2my9k06.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/2nak9s8.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/16h1zy0.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/zvdkd0.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/dh020.jpg I guess this is a wiring issue inside? Does anyone know if this is fixable? How much it might cost? and/or anywhere i could contact to try and get it fixed? cheers Jase
  4. Just a quick recommendation for Sam at Dearne Plumbing. Had a number of small installation/repair jobs needed doing. Sam was reliable, honest and very informative. We will, without doubt, use Sam again.
  5. Am i missing something here? I don't really go to supermarkets and watch other people and make opinions of them, i go to get food. I've been a few times, and it fulfills my needs, in that, i can park get to it and park easily, the 'covered' car park means you dont get rained on!, and it has all the food any other Asda has. Never really used the customer service to any other extent than paying, which is unsurprisingly the same as anywhere else. As for the self-service checkouts, the issues with those are more than just specific to one branch of one supermarket.
  6. Hi all, I've had a look through the recommended tradesmen post briefly but couldn't find much. Can anyone recommend any companies for coming to quote for a conservatory build. Would prefer local (Sheffield/Rotherham), well-reputable, independent tradesmen as opposite to the bigger companies. Please PM me. Many thanks
  7. Hi all, Can anyone tell me if any of the Kelham Island (thinking Riverside in particular) have Sky Sports and are showing the Blades match on Saturday? Thanks
  8. Would like to recommend Matt at A.W Nightingale and Sons. He came and fitted an half size UPVC pane in our front door. Friendly, and very professional job done at a good price. Will always consider Matt for any future work.
  9. And i bet he won't come back and admit he's got it wrong either! I've tried it, over wi-fi, over a sky connection of about 6mb down, and it struggled (which i expected), but it worked. I did see a difference in lag when playing it during more peak times (i.e. weekend afternoon). I also took advantage of the '£1 for the first game' offer that they had when launching, so i have Borderlands GOTY, if i ever want to pick it up and have a bash. Unfortunately, it came out at a time when i have little time to play, and Skyrim, and then SW:TOR came out. Bottom line, if they address the peak lag issues, and market it a bit more, then it will pick up as bandwidth speeds continue to evolve.
  10. I honestly think that they should review their involvement with just-eat and delivering. On personal experience and evidence on here, it seems that that its tarnishing its own reputation. Maybe they should switch to doing collection only and/or dining in. The food is great, but i'm reluctant to order based on past experiences. I know the owner has posted in the past, so it would be good to hear their views.
  11. Yeah, of course it was designed by card companies, they've existed much longer than Valentine's Day
  12. Morning all, Does anyone have anyone have any ideas/recommendations of restaurants that are open later tomorrow? We are going to the Last Laugh Comedy Club, and wanting food afterwards (i think it will be after 10:30pm). Anyone know of anywhere, apart from the normal indian restaurants? Was hoping for Efes Bar and Grill, but doubt they will be open that late. Thank you!
  13. He has a point though Segasonic, without macs i wouldn't have had a job 12 years ago. The amount of macs that i had to fix due to the fact that you could simply drag the system directory into the recycle bin (or was it called 'trash') kept me in work! Never had that many issues with PCs however. I love how VideoPro's post reflects the title of the thread so well.
  14. Speaking of which, has anyone anyone else had a door-to-door salesperson selling Lovefilm subscriptions? We did last week.
