  1. I live on Shenstone Rd ,and ,Yes a young lad was knocked off his pushbike . He was riding with another lad on shenstone and he rode out between two parked cars and was hit by a resident who was driving off the road . Ive not heard how badly injured he was ,but the ambulance staff had him in a neck brace ,and the police were there .
  2. Ive PM`d you the number of a good ,reliable Scrappy.
  3. Not many :hihi: Just had a copper drive on our side road and he said the army were starting to dig it out ,so its wait and see time. It aint exploded yet
  4. You never replyed to my PM i sent ,so i took it you had given the job to someone else . I cant do a job with no address to go to .
  5. They think its an unexploded bomb from the war. The council found it while doing some work in the river earlier this afternoon. Its about 200yds from my house.
  6. The police told my neighbour they thought someone had jumped . If the coppers aint got a clue , what hope is there. ---------- Post added 05-03-2013 at 16:46 ---------- Im at home on Leppings lane ,and the bomb squad is there now. As long as they dont want to evacuate us while im having my tea i dont care.
  7. Just a heads up to anyone going that way. Leppings Lane is closed at the top end by the Bridge at Grahams Tyres , looks like someone has jumped off the bridge according to the police . If you are coming up leppings lane from Law Bros you are having to turn left down Vere Rd back onto Penistone Rd. I live down there and its chaos, so will get even worse as rush hr builds up. Try and avoid if you can. ---------- Post added 05-03-2013 at 16:12 ---------- The police have now closed the bottom of Leppings Lane at Law Bros ,so you cant get up it at all.
  8. Ive never had any problems "walking in " at the tip i use to dispose of the rubbish from the jobs i do . The only thing that causes me grief is when they keep going on strike........... it affects my business ,as i cant do rubbish removal jobs on the days they are on strike .
  9. Exactly , Household waste. all im doing is helping stop rubbish pile up and keep the rats and foxes at bay .
  10. I stumbled upon a gap in the market by accident , and its turning into a nice little earner mate. All those old dears who dont drive cant get to the dumps themselves ,and thanks to the council , their bins are now overflowing with garbage, so everyones a winner.
  11. I hold a waste carriers licence ( have done for years) ,and anyone is perfectly entitled to wheel a wheelie bin into a tip and empty it. I cant enter the dumps as my vehicle is too big ,but i can park outside and take in household waste.
  12. I love this new fortnightly collection, cant get enough of it. Ive already collected 8 full wheelie`s this week ,and parked outside the tip ,wheeled them in and emptied them. At £10 a bin , £80 notes is a lovely little earner for an hours work. They all want me to do this on a fortnightly basis ,on the week their bin isnt emptied. And ive left a load of business cards for them to pass round. Lovely Jubbly . I knew buying a second van just to remove rubbish was a good idea. This unoffical binman role is bringing in a load of extra cash. Sheffield council should have gone fortnightly years ago . :hihi:
  13. i cant wait for the fortnightly collections to start. Ive already had a few of my regular customers ask if i can dispose of their household black bags to the dump it site on the week their wheelie wont be emptied .............. it`s a nice little earner for me.
