I was just wondering how many people get confused by the change of coulour of the pills and different boxs ,when pharmacy changes supplier After you have been on certain same pills for a long period

There was a family called Nettleship lived on Shirland Road near the bridge that the canal runs under -
Use to get nibbets from working man club and boxes of chocolate raisins Now I think the nibbets have taken the form of little bears Not stick shape

There were a decorating company that used a house on Brinsworth street Attercliffe to store their ladders and paint because the yard was very big with storage facilities Don't know if it was called Dekins

Mathews was at the bottom of our street Brinsworth Street that is Mathews was a family business ,when this shop closed it moved to Darnall then shut down after a few years all together -

Remember people putting coins on tram lines when the trams last run down Attercliffe Common as a momentum. We used to get our own spendos by collecting milk bottles penny refund on these Beer bottles 3old pence back on these and selling bundles of firewood plenty of Spendos if you wanted it -

Yes I can remember farthings and halfpenny still got some with other old money The old shillings we used them in gas meter to pay for gas -

Yes in the bygone days wages were low so prices were low all low nominations have gone Penny/threpence/sixpence/ shilling /2shilling/half a crown etc -
