Since last night my electric has tripped off 9 times, If I wait 10 mins it comes back on but then does it again a hour or so later. I have unplugged everything downstairs, but because it comes back on again after a while, its impossible to know whats causing it. I am running out of sockets to unplug, well I have run out. Its definitely downstairs, cos I left all the downstairs stuff off last night and it was fine, but I have come home from work to it tripped off again. Does anyone have any ideas please.

I have a 12 year old chaffoteux combi boiler. it had a major service around 5 years ago, now the pressure valve is playing up, a colleague at work said he replaced it but obviously not, cos its either through the roof or down to zero and off. its leaking from the pipes below when the pressure drops, is it repairable or is it time for a replacement with the 45 quid I have in the bank right now??

Hi everyone, can anyone help me? I own my house mortgaged obviously Anyway when I bought it, nearly 13 years ago, when it was just built they fitted it with wooden windows:( double glazed with smears inside, being a bit young and naive then, didnt know how to complain etc etc. Anyway they are in dire need of replacement. Unfortunately can't have white upvc as stipulated by the vendors, can't have a pond either, but they'll never find out . Anyway back to the real reason, does anyone know if scc give grants to homeowners to replace the wooden windows, did email the council with no reply so far (2 weeks ago) just that some colleagues at work mentioned it and nearly 4000 is a lot to save up on ya own. Anyone can help, will appreciate it. Cheers guys.
