Ricgem2002, yep my grandad was a top gent, no one better. Unfortunately my nannan made me promise not tell anyone the recipe for cheese flan or any other recipe. yeah the cheese flan is still being made by me. family recipe. Gordon is still alive and kicking and so is john. My nannan (gladys) who made the cheese flan and everything is still here. but unfortunately for anyone who knew my grandad (jim) who used to work the till on days passed away just over three years ago. ---------- Post added 07-12-2013 at 18:38 ---------- Ricgem2002 a lot of taxi drivers used to use the van and also the cafe on a regular basis -

I know this is an old post. But just want to clarify, that this is my family who ran the business,. Yes it was called GG's and yes they used to have a van in the eighties before the cafe next to the arches. My nannan and uncle used to cover nights and yes colin they remember the incident. They have now retired from catering. Nice to know a lot of people still remember the old place. -

They were still there about 5pm, police outside talking to some bloke
