  1. I have been reading the reasons for staying in the EU on the PRO EUROPA website, some of the reasons are hilarious.Cheaper roaming mobile phone calls, cheaper credit cards.:hihi:.Have a read and see what you think. http://www.proeuropa.org.uk/twelevereasons These are not good enough reasons for staying in for me compared to the reasons for leaving.
  2. You need to listen to Planet Rock on dab for a week and you will find out what you have been missing. ---------- Post added 22-02-2016 at 19:21 ---------- I must be a bit like Ted Nugent as well,i play guitar and i own a gun and i do not do drugs.
  3. I thought Status Quo were retiring after there next tour finishes.
  4. I have quite a few Ted Nugent lp,s,i am a big fan.He is also a big campaigner against drug use which is unusual for a rock star. His guns and guitar are all he needs to enjoy himself.
  5. I keep hearing the argument that foreign business will be put off from investing here if we leave the EU.Why do we need foreign business?,are there no entrepeneurs left in this country to start a successful business.I am personally fed up of foreigners running this country for us,we used to be able to do it ourselves and very successfully. We invented most of the things that the world now takes for granted.Rant over.
  6. You may have hit the nail on the head there.I view everybody as fellow human beings and do not distinguish between religions.
  7. Whats with all the surreal threads Eric?Crash helmets in cars, personal id numbers and only over thirties to be allowed to drive.
  8. If we are going to ban all the dangerous age groups there will not be many left who would actually be allowed to drive.According to this only people aged between 60 and 69 should drive because they have the least amount of accidents. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-24204489
  9. It might give us a chance to manufacture our own goods instead of importing cheap rubbish. The value of the pound is too high anyway, that is why manufacturing is declining in britain.
  10. Glad we are finally getting a chance to vote on it,i made by mind up to leave a long time ago and will finally get the chance to vote. The campaigns are going to be interesting,Nigel Farage,George Galloway,Kate Hoey,David Davis and Peter Bone all on the same stage supporting each other, who would have thought that could happen.I cannot believe Jeremy Corbyn is backing staying in when his heart says we need to leave, nationalisation and subsiding industries are banned by the EU so he could not imlpement the things he has promised if he gains power.Even the trade unions are wavering on wether to leave or stay because they do not really believe that the EU has done anything for british workers.Wish i knew why the Labour party is so keen to stay in,glad i do not vote for them anymore.
  11. Unfortunately there will always be fraudulent claims made by people with no shame,it then tags all the genuine victims. My car was well and truly written off when i suffered two cracked vertebrae and a torn muscle. The car was twisted by the force of the impact.I still suffer chronic pain all the time and the cost of having the rest of my life in pain was not a lot judging by the amount i got in compensation back then.
  12. Whiplash is pretty painful,i have suffered it a couple of times.I damaged some vertebrae many moons ago after some idiot shunted me down the road while i was stood still.Take my advice that if the pain carries on for any length of time go and get yourself checked out.
  13. I was pretty lucky this morning,i was only about 500 yards further back up the road when it happened,i was just alongside the toyota garage when all the traffic stopped.Hope every one involved is ok.
  14. Snowing here in S36 and now we have thunder and lightning.I have come over the woodhead pass earlier and it is a blizzard up there.
  15. I have a fair idea where the best places are for all the bald, pot bellied, fifty something short blokes who make the trip to Thailand.:hihi:
  16. I agree that Merkel will probably be ousted in March and good riddance I hope.I have to wonder how Norway and Switzerland have managed to control their populations but ours has just gone through the roof.I do not know if we are one of the most populated countries in terms of land mass but we must be one of the contenders.I found it interesting that all the jobs that the government has boasted about creating in the last five years are all mainly low pay and probably mostly taken up by migrant EU workers anyway.
  17. I will be voting to leave the eu.The in campaign have not given a good reason for staying in for me.Saying it would effect exports and big business is not a good reason for staying in for me.I would prefer to see the growth of small homegrown businesses than big business.I have worked for both and I preferred working for a small company hands down compared to the big business I work for now.I also dislike the fact that somebody in a country halfway across the world is telling me how hard I need to work to support the workers in the owners countries collapsing economy. If we were to stay in I would want the same set up that Norway and Switzerland have.I think the EU needs us more than we need them.
  18. I have been listening to Gary Hoey,a vastly under rated guitarist in the UK.
  19. You know my name by Chris Cornell and goldeneye by Tina Turner.
  20. He is popular and if he is still as popular in forty years and selling out stadium shows I will take my hat off to him.Not that I will still be around to take my hat off in forty years.:hihi:
  21. Another one of my music hero's sadly gone.Has his family have said, lets celebrate his life and listen to his music and have a drink in his memory and that is just what I have done today. He always joked about it himself that he was still alive after all that he had done.A true rock icon who was loved around the world and a good guy to boot.I am glad I got to see him play live at Glastonbury this year. Thanks for the memories Lemmy.
  22. How would we get Israel and North Korea to disarm. That is one challenge I would not like to take on.I believe that these are the two countries most likely to press the button rather than the Uk,Russia and the Usa.
