It’s a valid question, but the kitchen is on the ground floor and the bathroom is at the top of a standard staircase. Its bin day for us and not the black bin that was last week. Interestingly, the council website says its brown bin today, so does the leaflet they dropped. Everyone else on the road has the blue bin out. Just checked the council website and the blue bin section says its the blue bin they are collecting today. Well communicated and planned as ever. Spoofing of number is a real problem for the industry, as it allows me to call someone from a phone and present the number for your bank, so that on your mobile it would look like Lloyds or RBS etc are calling you. Whilst it is illegal to do this, it does not matter to a fraudster operating from a call centre on another continent. What could possibly go wrong? The good news is that the industry is aware of it and has a fix. It involves adding a "digital signature" to each telephone number globally and implementing checks and balances at carrier interconnect points that effectively say "I am a legitimate call and here is my password" at which point the carrier passes the call on as a verified call. A bit like Spam filters for emails and URLs on the internet. The bad news is that no-one is being forced to do it, so implementing it is a long way off.

I can confirm the above is 100% true. I work in telecoms billing.

Hiya, my PC is 5 years old and getting very loud. Whilst I have blown dust out before, I think the fans and some other parts all need stripping down and cleaning, which I am reluctant to do myself. Any good recommendations for people who would undertake this sort of job and see if I can get this PC running a bit quieter? I am based in S10 so the more local the better. Thanks

Burns chiropractic on Ecclesall Road. He would have this sorted in a jiffy he is excellent. If trapped nerve then a mix of physio and chiro would sort that out.

Ours was fine yesterday and today is almost empty so the rubber must have split. Anyone know any decent people who could empty / clean / replace? Need to remove the stone flagging and replace the liner I suspect. Probably a couple of days work

Hi, We have an oil fired boiler which has stopped working. Can anyone recommend a good plumber with the relevant accreditations as I am told a gas engineer would not be qualified to do the work so need to know where to look. Would rather ask here than yellow pages. Any recommendations?

Go to the chiropractor first and get them to reset your neck. I go to the one on Ecclesall road by Collegiate Campus. He is very good and sorted this exact issue out for me. Also recommended using a rolled up towel, which has made the world of difference as a pillow. Neck pain is normally due to the spine being misaligned, just too old or damage. A good chiro can assist all of these.

I was offered University courses by Durham, Bristol, Exeter, Leeds and Sheffield. I went to each on an open day. The Sheffield offer required the lowest grades and Durham the highest. I could have accepted any of them based on the results I got. I chose Sheffield because it had the best vibe of all of the places I did on open day. That was 1993. I graduated in 1997. I still live here and am raising my family in S10. I love Sheffield.

Its actually my boss at work who is well into his nutrition. He swears by reverse osmosis water laced with a small amount pink Himalayan pink salt is the best way to keep your body full of all the benefits of rehydrating and maintaining peak balance. He also lives in London though so we all know the water is <removed> down there.

Just for domestic use - I know the water here is good, but I have been recommended to get one by several people so was looking into it.

I normally reply to those and see how long I can string them on for. And cold calls from Indian call centres teling em I have a computer virus. Had one idiot on the phone to me for just over an hour, and I spent much of that making excuses such as "someone is at the door", "my computer is slow let me reboot it - takes about 10 minutes or so" and even "I need a cup of tea can you hang on a minute whilst I make it" and leave them there for 10-15 mins.

Been using these for a while.malways found them to be good food and good people. Today I ordered at half seven and by half eight nothing had arrived. I called them and they were very apologetic and offered a deal on my next order which I declined only because they are normally spot on. By 8-50pm I am trying to call to cancel the order as I have just had some toast but they are engaged. Knock at the door and their guy bringing the food is there with the meal. He apologises for the delay and says the food is free. I try to explain that I have eaten so no worries but he still maintains it is free so up to me what I do with it and apologises again for the delay. I am not eating it because I have gone past it, but I feel compelled to give them some publicity because they are always polite, almost always prompt and in 20 years of using deliveries from takeaways of all descriptions no-one has ever made a sincere apology about being late. Give them a go. Turning a negative into a positive is a skill. Well done Tiffin and credit where it is due. I am not happy with you, but I will definitely buy from you again and treat this as an aberration.

It was a bloody great day out. Really enjoyed it. Much better than tolerating the noise generated by the pub when people visit in their helicopters.

I have never been, but I have been recommended to the view this is a good dentist.

So I bought a coffee table about 10 years ago from Gilberts in Hunters Bar and the top is looking untidy after this time , plus 2 little boys with all their wear and tear. Needs about 3mm sanded off it and restained so I can rewax it. Gilberts say they don't do renovation. Needs a belt sander and someone who knows what they are doing, which is not me. Any suggestions where I take it? Not a big job, but I still want it doing.
