  1. Does any one remember the name of the bar that was within the bowling alley on the Kilner Way site? Thanks
  2. Just a quick reminder for every-one about tomorrow's Open Garden.
  3. Hi my parents moved to Mablethorpe recently i dont drive and have researched getting there quite a bit: National Express during Summer have coaches leaving Mondays & Fridays Hunts are very hit and miss The only reliable way i have found is train, from Sheffield to Lincoln, Lincoln to Sleaford, Sleaford to Skegness. £27 open return. Then a number 9 bus from Skegness to Mablethorpe £3.50. Total journey time 4hrs. It is a right trek, there is no easy way, any one find one please let me know. Hope that helps,
  4. Thanks guys, i will leave it to get on with its life, but have named it Bob.
  5. For the last of couple of days i have discovered that a bat is nesting in the eaves of my house. I have a few questions: Are they protected? What are/the purpose of bat boxes? I do not want to see it homeless, but do they damage my loft? Any advice about what to do for the Bats benefit would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Louise
  6. Jumble Sale July 24th Greenhill/Bradway Youth Centre, Gresley Road, Lowedges, S8 7HL 2pm-4pm All proceeds to go to Cats Protection
  7. i was in borough whilst it was happening, Barnados was on fire, 3 engines on scene + police, they blocked the road off, for around 1/2 hour then all traffic flowed again, the road was clear when i left around 45 mins ago. Hope that helps.
  8. Ticket price is not a disgrace just having to pay booking fee when you purchase the in person, there are no postage costs. I know City Hall are only agent and selling for Rotary club and Cubana, but paying a booking fee annoys me ok!
  9. Hi I got two tickets from the city hall for £6 + booking fee (disgrace was in person) It also states on their advertising it is £8 on the door so to speak.
  10. Have you thought about SOVA http://www.sova.org.uk/volunteers.htm
  11. barbie: that make a refreshin change wot a fab postman wot area do u live ? Depends how posh i am feeling(other thread), Wadsley Bridge, Southey, Parson Cross, live just down from the lidl on Haifax Road S5. Noticed my info, have moved since I signed up
  12. I know the irony of it. I saw the postman earlier, he tried two neigbours before he found one in, I thanked him and told him I had contacted Royal Mail and he seemed genuinly pleased. At least he saved me £13 in getting my keys cut(other half has my spare set), like the last time i lost them! And i was absolutley bursting for a wee whilst waiting in the rain, I had so much fun!
  13. Thought I would post some positivity, I was rushing to work the other day, finally got home rumaging through my bag NO KEYS, i lost my house keys. Phoned my other half to come and let me in, it was chucking it down and was waiting in the rain for half an hour, when a neigbour was just popping out and she said I have your house keys! Apparantly i left them in the door (I know!), the postman found them, went round to my neighbours to look after them and then put a note through my door, soooooooo grateful. I have contacted Royal Mail. I just wanted to share how most people still have a sense of the right thing. I have had no post since and am waiting to see the postie in person.
  14. This is not regarding renewal, but I am in the process of applying, I downloaded the form etc.. took it to my GP who will write a supporting letter and charge me £12 and it will take 2 to 3 weeks for her to do, then i have to send it off, from other peoples' experience is this the start of a very long process? Also do the only issue them to people on DLA? I work full time but have work aids i.e an adapted chair and flexi desk thingy! I am unsure whether i will be succesful, I have a degenerative illness, what are my chances? Thanks
  15.
