thanks blue11265. do they take slower, rather unfit people? i ask because i am overweight and quite slow. I used to run 800m and was quite good until about the age of 20 then i moved down south and became a couch potato/ at work all the time.
i haven't really trained seriously for 10 years! although i do go through periods where i get to the gym regularly. i would like to get back to the feeling i used to get after an early morning run.
my initial goal is to lose the extra 3 stone i am carrying and improve my cardiovascular fittnes.
one of my main concerns is that i run on grass as much as possible at first as my weight causes problems for my feet.
