  1. thanks blue11265. do they take slower, rather unfit people? i ask because i am overweight and quite slow. I used to run 800m and was quite good until about the age of 20 then i moved down south and became a couch potato/ at work all the time. i haven't really trained seriously for 10 years! although i do go through periods where i get to the gym regularly. i would like to get back to the feeling i used to get after an early morning run. my initial goal is to lose the extra 3 stone i am carrying and improve my cardiovascular fittnes. one of my main concerns is that i run on grass as much as possible at first as my weight causes problems for my feet.
  2. tried matalan at lunchtime and brantano - bought sensible shoes from brantano for 30quid but not much to catch my eye in matalan. mostly really synthetic shiny material suits so didn't buy anything in there. off to meadowhall tonight then. anyone know what time it is open till?
  3. have you ever parked on top of sommerfield? you can see right into the grimy kitchen round the back of balti king. after having seen in there i would never eat there
  4. didn't there used to be a running club at hillsborough leisure centre? i'm sure there used to be, but when i rang them they had never heard of it. i'm looking for a running club for beginners (who are fairly unfit) somewhere not too far from crookes. thanks
  5. Please can anyone help. Where should I go in Sheffield to buy smart work clothes (female) without spending a fortune? I start a new job on monday and the dress code is much smarter than the place i work now (jeans/cords and a t-shirt!). I think i need a whole new wardrobe! cheers ray
