Sheffield Social Badminton Club playing at High Storrs school on Thursday nights from 7 to 9, no membership fees, just turn up, pay £3 and play. Players of all levels welcome. Bogdan

We are a small club started up by Activity Sheffield and are playing at Silverdale secondary school in the sports hall (Ecclesall south, off Bents Drive) every Thursday from 18.30 to 20.15. There is no commitment, just a pay as you turn up - £2 per session. We’ve been having free coaching for the last three months and this is still on-going, courtesy of Badminton England. This has been fantastic as it improved the overall level of play and understanding of the game. The players are of varying standards, from relatively competitive to more social play. The courts are excellent and there is never waiting for a court. It is generally doubles play. A few players from the office share a lift to Silverdale school and back. Hi, there I have just added a thread about the recreational badminton sessions at Silverdale school on Mondays 18.30-20.00, moving to Thursdays same time from September. Also £2 per session.
