  2. As title states has anyone lost a black and white kitten with no collar on in the S5 area parson cross near Himalayas ? I have had one meowing for the past hour and a half at my back door but I can't let it in as my cat keeps trying to fight it.
  3. 2 men handed themselves into police today, i know these people but unfortunately can't name on here but news for us all the streets of high green are now slightly safer. Anybody that knows of these people would not be one bit suprised it was them!
  4. I though it could relate to what i said in my other post and that you may not be aware of the scheme but as you explained on this occasion it does not so i cannot give you an explanation for them contacting you, maybe just ask them not to contact you further with regards to this matter and if they continue it's harrassment and may be worth giving their HR a call to report it.
  5. Now does the pharmacist just phone to remind you of making an appointment or does he/she ask about how you are getting on with your meds you were prescribed aswell? As i work in pharmacy i am aware of a new scheme that has been rolled out working in partnership with GP surgerys called a 'New medicines intervention'. This is where anyone that is taking a new medicine is contacted by the pharmacist on 3 occasions to discuss how they are getting on with the new meds, if they have any concerns/ reactions. This is supposed to reduce time wasted in GP surgerys by people going back because a new medicine is 'not working/ causing problems' that can easily be resolved by a pharmacist giving advice about any interactions it may be having with other tablets or even just changing the time of day that people are taking medicines. Pharmacys store a lot of information about people on their computer systems which helps detect drug interactions etc and also helps us help you with medicines that are to be sold over the counter etc. Maybe the pharmacist is just doing a job he/she has been asked to do and doesn't realise that you may find it harrassing and maybe you should suggest that you no longer wat to be contacted the next time they call. For staff in the healthcare section it can be quite useful to know what happens when people are referred on, so we can then help other patients that may ask in the future, It just keeps our knowledge up to date
  6. Thanks for the reply's guys, He really wants one of his own as currently he's been borrowing the school one and it put him off a bit watching other kids with snotty noses blow their germs into it and then pass it on. I think i will ask the school teacher to see what he reccomends that will be/sound compatable with the school ones
  7. Hi can anyone help, the little one is currently having cornet lessons at school and has asked for a cornet for christmas. I'm totally lost?? can anyone reccomend a cornet for a child age 10 that is just starting out thanks Bizzy_Lizzy
  8. Working in a pharmacy i believe restricted sales is a must. Tablets are generally sold in quantities to treat 3 days,if you require anymore than that you need to see a doctor. Most pharmacys will sell the required quantity if it is cheaper over the counter if presented with a prescription. Not everyone that wants to buy large quantities wants to OD themselves some are genuine however they should have a prescription to show for it, others just want to abuse products so a blanket ban just makes their life harder.

  12. Back in the 80's my dad bought my 3 brothers and I an enormous teenage mutant hero turtle christmas cracker that filled the living room, it was around 5ft and packed with turtle goodies from hats and figures to stickers and games. to us as kids it was the most amazing gift ever and seems to become a talking point every christmas! I would love to share this experience with my kids does anyone know where i could purchase a gigantic 5 ft christmas cracker?? It doesn't have to be filled with goodies as i could fill it myself although it would be a bonus
  13. i work in pharmacy so we type in codes that are short and they change into the dosage directions, if the computer doesn't recognise the code it prints exactly what you type! eg prn = when required, so many times iv printed labels that say take ONE tablet PORN instead of take ONE tablet when required
  14. My other half bought me an ironing board for MOTHERS DAY from the kids! I didn't speak to him for days after and every time i thought about it i got palpatations as i was so angry.
  15. I should imagine he finished pretty quickly considering for the past week iv had half the streets mail posted though my letter box along with mine
  16. My son attends Angram Bank school in S35, It is a lovely school with a vety good Ofstead report. The staff are all friendly, polite and helpful and my son seems to really enjoy going. What i like about the school is the classes are mixed ages it goes nursery, reception, Y1&2 mixed together Y3&4 mixed together and Y5&6 this seems to encourage healthy competition e.g the year 2 want to be better than the year 1 and the year 1 want to be as good as the year 2. Also Angram Bank has a hearing unit for the hearing impaired therefor most of the children are given basic sign language lessons. Greengate lane - have never visited this school as iv heard not so nice things about it although a family member has worked in the nursery there and has said how nice the nursery part of the school is. High Green Primary - seems to have a good Ofstead report but doesn't have a nursery attached St. Mary's Catholic school - My ex partners son went there seemed a very nice school although we did have a problem with his child being bullied it did get sorted quickly though once the staff there were aware of the situation however this also does not have a nursery Lound Infants & Juniors - very good school the only problem with this school is the infants and juniors are classed as 2 different schools so your child can attend the infants for 3 years but places are not gaurenteed for them to move into juniors (although it does seem unlikely it is a possibility.) hope this helps as for the other schools in s35 i dont know enough about them to comment
  17. No they have reported the theft but will be handing in the CCTV footage monday morning

  19. Leah- lacie is spot on I'm after one with all 4 wheels that swivel for my daughter
  20. Hi i'm in need of a baby walker without the fixed wheels on the back the ones that can turn on the spot due to a small living room the ones with the fixed wheels have too big a turning circle for my tiny room. Does anyone know where you can get one from? All i can seem to find is the fixed wheels ones!
  21. This happened to me battling with the "please remove item from bag, please place item in bagging area" and a child that insisted on putting his hand on the weighing area but unfortunately the scroat pocketed it, once i'd realised what i'd done i walked straight back into the store only for the security guard to tell me the scroat had passed me as i was walking back in and still did not have the decency to give it back!!!
  22. On a scale from 1 - 10, 1 being very unlucky and 10 being very lucky where would you class yourself and why? So here goes I'd class myself as 3 as unfortunate things seem to happen to me e.g when the Iceland volcano erupted 5 minutes before I was due to fly costing me £1000's
