  1. We were very conscious of the charity events and as such I agree with what you have said. Once a month seems to be the general idea here too. If we decide to go on with this we will be in touch and in return for any advertising im sure we can make a financial donation or return the favour.
  2. Hmm, we aren't doing too bad with running our multi-million pound business. Oh and by the way, its "raffle"
  3. In answer to your questions 1) The Casino own one fifth of the car park between the hours of 5pm and 7am on Sunday morning. The entire left side in front of the casino. 2) The Church utilize the upper part of the car park next to Penistone road. 3) The Motor Bike training school utilize another fifth of the car park directly in the centre between 8.30am and 5pm. By those silly mistakes I assume you mean charging entry fees and times? Those silly mistakes were to cover the costs of public liability insurance, Market license fees and wages of the staff we require on the property under the Safety at Sports Grounds Act 1975. We did not want to waiver this cost, and in turn charge traders more. Anyway, we are now looking at moving areas of car park ownership around to try to utilize the greatest amount of free space possible. Should this prove successful we will then be applying for planning permission to hold the carboot then we will be talking about suitable times to hold an event and from the posts already made I am led to believe an afternoon one would be preferable? I believe from your post you are not too clued up with actually organising events.
  4. we were approached today by someone wishing to rent part of the car park to hold sales through the winter. Feed back from this forum will be a great help with deciding this. We will be in discussion with the individual on Monday as it isn't quite as simple as moving to the car park as we can't encroach onto the casino or damage business of companies already paying us rent. Please leave comments as we would like to continue but only if it is worth doing so. In answer to your question, at this moment no but that could change Monday afternoon. Many thanks.

  7. Well surely you could come between 7-8 then, and have the option of coming earlier should you feel so inclined? I don't see how that could possibly make a difference other than an early time to pitch up allowing more flexibility?

  11. Carboot This Sunday 11th September @ Owlerton Stadium 5am - 12noon. Selling is £5 per car. If this gets enough support it will be run throughout the year and move to a more reasonable time and potentially move to the car park for a more solid ground during the winter. Pleas ehelp us make this successful!
  12. Well sunday the 4th was a bit embarrassing for Owlerton!!!! Although after 97 phone calls for traders wanting to pre book and the two bouncy castles on order I think the rain destroyed all chance of it being the fun day we wanted! were going for it again this sunday 6am - 12noon. We need it to pick up as were going to run through the winter on the car park but if the next two sundays dont show public interest were going to stop investing time into it! Come show support for local carboots this sunday at Owlerton Stadium 6am-12noon! please dont waste your time with the negative comments as we all know the rain ruined last sunday!
  13. You do not have to book a spot but I would suggest arriving shortly before 1.30pm to ensure you get on the pitch!
