Andy, thanks for your wisdom and direction on this thread. I had put so much into this thread and carried out massive research into the subject including the history of ASB in Sheffield. I literally burned midnight oil on it, in fact I would probably be well on the way to getting a degree in it. I was passionate about it. However, as we all know, the thread had become shaped by figures presented in the first 15 minutes the Toby Foster show. I used those figures only to find that late yesterday the man himself confirmed that the figures were wrong. I had to review all the posts I had made and edit many of them. This does not alter the fact that I have suffered quite seriously from anti-social behaviour in Sheffield and doesn’t negate the fact that it is a serious problem here and some of the police crime statistics demonstrate it is growing in some areas of the city and it is an ongoing problem that needs to be addressed; but, for me, the Toby Foster debacle was the final straw. It took away my thunder, destroyed my momentum and as such I can’t find the inspiration to continue with it anymore. So, thanks to all those who didn’t manage to insult me on here and offered constructive thoughts, but for me, I am out, no more mistyblue on SF. I am terminating my registration as of now. Bye.

I took the Toby Foster show figures to be correct, which was perfectly reasonable. How was I to know they were not? Fair enough, this has now been clarified. I cannot apologise for statements that I did not make, the mistake was made by the radio prog not me. Perhaps we should now use the South Yorkshire Police website crime figures.

Maybe we could have more comments on this and widen this debate

I am not going to apologise for mistakes made by the Toby Foster Show, why should I? To suggest that I should is ludicrous so stop suggesting that I should. Lots have commented on the show, let them apologise. Since these have now been verified as incorrect by Toby as it happen, perhaps we should now use the crime figures reported onthe South Yorkshire Police website Go to the South Yorkshire Police website and you can see all the figures for yourself

I am not a clown. I could not be responsible for errors in the Toby Foster radio show, that was there mistake and they have clarified it now.

That does not come up in that link at all. The South Yorkshire Police website does have the figures but they are only updated online to June 2011

Go to BBC iplayer and listen tothe first 15 mins of the Toby Foster show yourself and you will see that I am correct. I only had those figures to hand.
