  1. Hi, i am 90% that the house that backs onto mine is a council / housing association house, does anyone know how or if you can find out which housing association owns the house as i want/need to make a complaint.
  2. Youll not do far wrong with Dinsmore, most tackle shops sell it & im sure it will be far cheaper than the ebay link below but at least it shows you what the box looks like. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DINSMORES-7-WAY-LEAD-SHOT-COARSE-CARP-FISHING-/260787196698
  3. By top pond, i assume you mean Lilly. Did your mate not get pestered by the Ide & small recently stocked Carp fishing double corn?
  4. Try the Catcliffe stretch rather than the RV to Woodhouse bit, its got proper pegs & is easily accessable.
  5. Rather than stuff on TV i prefer to watch fishing blogs on Youtube. Instead of 'celeb' fisherman plugging their range you just get genuine guys fishing for the pleasure of it & videoing it, you get tips, idea's etc... but its more of a case of them simply showing their rig/setup rather than them shoving it down your throat that its some form of 'super rig' & without it you'll never catch
  6. It depends really, some of their stuff is good, some is shocking. You will often find that many people slag their stuff off based upon hearsay rather than having actually purchased anything from them. I have 3 of their captor 2.5lb test carp rods & i love them & their rod pod is good too. On the flip side, their alarms are poor quality & a small amount of rain will render them useless.
  7. A pike only needs to eat 2-3 times its body weight per year to survive. Not too sure about cormorants but i imagine that its a far bit more
  8. Chris, There is a big green gate & this is where Aston Springs stops & Aston Park starts. Once in the first lake on your right is called Stable. http://www.astonparkfisheries.co.uk/Resources/ASTON%20LAKE%20MAP_012-2.jpg
  9. I went back in May & had 3 tench to 4lb & a 7lb common in about 6 hours. 2 of the tench & the carp on inline feeder & sweetcorn, the smallest tench took a 10mm tutti frutti boilie.
  10. And there’s always one who has to try to be a smart ar$e. Im pretty sure what Sheff 13 was trying to say is why do people who catch big fish, instead of just holding them in front of themselves with bent elbows, stretch their arms out so that the fish is closer to the camera, which in effect makes the fish look larger in perspective to the holder. In my opinion I guess its to show off the fish’s features better as a lot of these bigger fish have distinctive & attractive markings whilst also keeping their face in the picture so they can prove to their mates that they caught something.
  11. Biggsy, it depends when you fish it, if your a weekend only fisherman your likely to see alot of speedboats but if you fish during the week then you probably won't see as many, if any!! I was down there a few weeks back & one guy who i was chatting too said he never fishes there on a weekend but manages to get on twice during the week as its much quieter.
  12. Where I fished Drayton a few weeks back, the whether was terrible & i was fishing from the point towards to boat. After 4 hours of being battered by the elements, 6 runs & 3 fish on the back i decided to call it a day & head home. Would certainly go back, even in tough conditions the fish were still coming out. If you can't catch at Drayton your doing something seriously wrong.
  13. Excellent, everyone loves a free fishing bargain!!
  14. Am i right in thinking this stretch is owned by Tinsley & District AC?
