  1. Lottie, I totally agree with every word you have said and echo it. These people have also not looked into the fact that youths frequent the common on an evening, the heather has been set on fire many times. What would happen to the highland cattle then ? I have been chased in the past by these type of animals while having my dog on a lead. Like Lottie I will not respond again to this post
  2. I know how you are feeling. We lost our Westie boy last August to lymphoma a nd bowel tumours. Max was young and otherwise fit at diagnosis and did have Chemotherapy for 3 1/2 years. Anyway as soon as he was diagnosed we were advised to try propolis tincture. He had 3 drops on his food once a day. Not sure if this helped to keep him fit and well for another 3 years but he did lead a very happy healthy life during this time. You can now get it from holland and barret and it costs about £6 but lasts for ages. Good luck with your girl give her lots of good times and enjoy life.
  3. We used to go in the Robin hood at Stannington after a walk through the woods with our two. Sometimes we booked a table in the tap room for Sunday lunch, on one occassion we counted 13 dogs. We had to walk round them all to get to our table. All well behaved and not one bit of trouble. Now we go to the Nags head at Bradfield or to the Old Horns. Last year we took them to London on the train first class, when we got off everyone was shocked that we had two dogs with us, they were so well behaved. They then went on the underground with us and stayed in a Mayfair hotel overnight. It was a special birthday treat for their Daddy though. This year they have been to the Isle of Wight a real dog friendly place. We went in many pubs etc with them. In one they even got their own dish of food.
  4. bassett one, we will be there with our two Westies. Training the puppy to do a card trick so hope you have a best trick class. We came a couple of years ago and enjoyed the day out.

  6. Does anyone know if this is still on please ?. Also what time does the dog show start? Thank you
  7. Our boy was insured with MORETHAN he developed bowel cancer and lymphoma and had chemotherapy plus surgery. We have a brilliant Vet and Max lived for a further 3 and a half years whilst on treatment. During this time he played Toto at Rotherham Civic. MORETHAN were brilliant we never had a problem, they paid up on time and yes our premium did go up but Max was 10 and a half when we lost him in Aug. His premium was £44 a month but we had claimed £7000. We would rather not have claimed still be paying that premium and have Max. His Sister is with Pet Plan, I could not get out of the policy because she was checked for a heart murmour at 12 weeks ( She has never had a problem with this ). Her policy is now £36 a month at 9 years old. We have not claimed much but I have had problems with Pet Plan paying up. Last Dec it took 5 weeks 4 calls 2 duplicate claim forms and they rang our Vet twice before they paid a claim for hydrotherapy. It was real hassle I am so pleased we did not have that stress when Max was diagnosed. We will never use Pet Plan again and always go for MORETHAN. Hope this helps.
